Quoted from CaptainNeo:

Also made a blocking shield for the ecto goggles. Basically a square sheet of plastic that uses the L brackets on the slings that arn't being used. Mounted it to a clear plastic wall, and attached it to the screw for the exit gate by the pops. Protects the glass and the left side of the goggles. We will see if it stops airballs from getting in there now.

Pics?

Quoted from 3pinballs:

out of curiosity....If Stern knows this is a problem why don't they remedy it at the factory? I know JJP when they know of an issue they fix it.

Yup, they send you precut mylar sheet!

Quoted from wtatumjr:

I'm well informed on CLiffy's, Slimer butt rubs, and air ball blockers (Thanks everyone!) All I need now is my GB, May order.

Hang Tough! I got mine last week after ordering in April.

Anybody have an issue with Slimer on their premium with him going out of calibration every 20 games or so. He will swing all the way to his right (playfield rt). If you go to start a new game it won't start unless you power off and back on. I am on code 1.11

#1943 7 years ago

Mine will do it not in ball search mode too.

Quoted from SilverballNut:

OK, officially from Stern, Slimer is supposed to rub on the bracket some as he is coming out so he is down closer to the playfield. Some people insist on moving him up so he doesn't touch anything when he comes down. I don't think anyone was having slimer rub on the actual playfield.
Mine, out of the box rubs just slightly on the one bracket as he's coming down (he's on a spring so bends) and it doesn't bother me so I haven't bothered trying to adjust him. He registers hits well and looks good flying around on the playfield.

Mine was touching the playfield and when he swung over to the fire station he would hook the plastic. Had to adjust. Nov 4th build date.

Quoted from Mando:

Anyone ever have really hard shots not register and or make it all the way around the right loop?

Yep

Quoted from chucksmith:

Mine is cracked. It cracked early on. I found it and called Stern and they sent me a new plastic. I have not installed it yet, but I don't see how a plastic can impact the ball feed unless you are changing the angle of the metal scoop. ** Mine also does not have the extended plastic over the scoop. That was added later. Earlier plastics were stubby so it does not flex on the curved part of the scoop.
This spot in the plastic is so thin, I can see how it would crack easily.

My plastic was like this brand new out of the box with my mid November Prem build. I have at least 1/4" of space between and plastic. Does your scoop have a rib welded on the back underneath the plastic to keep it from bending up?

Quoted from chuckcasey:

As I wait for my GB Premium to arrive I was playing the GB LE at the Museum of Pinball and noticed this hex post standing by itself with nothing attached?
Anyone else have this empty post (circled in green) on their LE or Premium?

On my Prem as well. I think it prevents ball traps

Quoted from gweempose:

I just noticed while playing tonight that the cabinet decal is starting to fray a bit at the left side edge near the front of the game. I assume this is happening because the exposed edge of the decal is constantly being rubbed by my hand while flipping. This is the only Stern I own where the decals don't wrap around the edge. You can see from the photos that there is a gap between the side decals and the front decal on both sides of the game. Are all Ghostbuster premiums like this, or did they mess mine up at the factory?

Mine is doing it too on the right side. Mine is a mid November build. I have no idea why they did this. First I trimmed it back a little. I have cut a clear piece of vinyl and wrapped the corner on both sides to protect the edges.

#2443 7 years ago
Quoted from hoby1:

Mine is also not wrapped. 11/16 build. My hands stay on the lockdown when playing so im not too concerned

Hoby1, why did you change your leg protectors? Did you not like the factory stand off ones?

#2484 7 years ago

Chuck, is that a oracle product, I used their 3620 for a complete playfield protector. I also use orajet 621 for wear areas. Both have a two year removal time as long as not in direct sunlight.

I'm glad they are taking care of you on an issue that should not have happened. Waiting does suck. I have been one of the lucky ones that has had no problem with my clear coat or cabinet corners. I am sad the code is not finished and probably won't get finished. I was so excited for this theme. I think this title has been a bust for Stern given all the problems.

Quoted from Sirphobos:

I had an issue with Slimer dragging his butt on the metal around the center captive... I shimmed it up with two washers, which improved it, but It seems as though I could add a third, but then the allen screw won't have any more metal to screw into on the shaft.
Anyone else had this issue, and a better solution to get Slimer to stop dragging on the PF?

Some drag is normal. I shimmed mine. I talked to Chaz and said how designed.

Same here, ordered in morning and Chaz responded by dinner time saying he will send kits out.

I received my service bulletin kits today. Looks like the S/B for 190 is short 1 assembly. Anyone else have this issue? I thought I read that Node 8 and 9 need these.

#3637 6 years ago
Quoted from tasman:

That happen to me also, called stern and they are shipping me one. So give them a call

Thanks, I emailed Chaz and he is going to take care of it.

My GB Prem has been on route for 2+ years. I have done the S/B and have not had one problem with Node boards.

Could be calibration. Know bug if you start a game right after it ends a game, especially if balls are locked or up in the dog leg. If you turn off and back on does it fix it

Throwing this out there. Who has the 3d printed buildings with the fire house mod building and the walking stay puff? And fit issues? Can all 3 be used
