Quoted from Who-Dey:

Chuck what are your thoughts about the switch not registering when you shoot the ball really fast through the ecto goggles? I hate not getting credit for that shot. Mine fails fairly often on a good hard and fast shot up thru there.

same here, very frustrating.

Quoted from CyberNinja24:

My Slimer was bumping his butt and registering hits right away and heading back up before being touched once.
First, I put the additional washers on the rod itself (as previously discussed on this thread) and I'm thinking that's going to work great.
Secondly, I felt like my Slimer was pushed way to the front versus being in the middle. I loosened up the mech, but cannot seem to get him tightened back up in the middle. Am I missing a piece behind the wire that hangs down? I center him up and try my best to tighten down, but there sure is a lot of play there.
The middle pic shows how he was before I loosened, metal piece was back and Slimer pushed way to the front. I was simply trying to have him hang more in the middle.
Also, I tried to read all the threads on this first before posting, so hopefully this hasn't been posted a thousand times already.

I think the new version of Slimer, like the one you have is supposed to sit against the front and is normally closed. The original version was normally open. Maybe I pulled that out of the air, but I thought I remembered reading that.

I wanted to pop in here and note that I replaced the foam on the stand up targets with some of the gray foam you can get from Marco or PBL. It has nearly eliminated air balls so far. I went ahead and installed the airball deflector as well, but this is just one more thing to help with the insane air balls on this game.

Quoted from Trekkie1978:

This is what they look like. Just order the 1 5/8" hex spacer.

I put the shorter spacer on mine and it didn't really seem to help a whole lot. It has to be an absolutely perfect shot with some steam on it to make the full ramp still.

#2707 7 years ago

has anybody lowered the flipper strength and had any issues making the ramp?

I think I know the answer, but nobody has figured out how to replace the audio on Spike systems yet have they? That song on 'We've got one" drives me crazy...haha

Also, Stern gives us the ability now to control the backbox brightness, which is great! BUT, would it be too hard to have the option of the backbox LED's to just dim during gameplay and then back to full brightness in attract mode? It seems like this should be pretty easy for them to do with the new LED system.

Quoted from Sinestro:

Yes, with the Pinball Browser you can change audio, DMD images, and Video in the Ecto Goggles. I have the Bobby Brown song added, and Vigo in the Goggles.
Agree 100% with you on the backbox lighting. I have turned my lighting down to 10% to get rid of the glare, but it would be nice if it went back to 100% during the attract mode. Stern, Dwight, are you reading this?

Is it just as straight forward as replacing a song on a SAM game? I did that on AC/DC and it wasn't too bad.

Quoted from chucksmith:

This thread should be renamed the "Ghostbusters Tech Support Thread" because we don't just sit around crying about problems, we fix them. So yeah... Issues thread makes it sound like Ghostbusters is hopeless when it certainly is not.
In fact I think its awesome ! It just needs a little love where stern stopped, this thread takes over.

Avengers is the same way. I have spent a lot of time dialing it in and people are always shocked at how fun it can be when it plays good.

Quoted from gweempose:

I think people get too hung up on the playfield having to be at exactly 6.5 degrees. Having it level from side to side is much more important.

NO kidding, I just jack the back legs all of the way up and the front all of the way down
