I am working on rebuilding a WPC Getaway. There have been issues with the mech that raises the ramp in the back. I was told that it was caused by the plate that is supposed to lock it in the upright position. I replaced that. Now I find that the spring pushes it down.

I found the spring in there was not stock and too strong, so I replaced it. Still no help.

I am thinking that where the plate locks into the arm is the wrong angle. I am thinking a small amount of filing to change the angle will fix it. But I hate to file something that cannot be replaced.

Suggestions?
