Hi everyone, I was repairing some burned out lights on my getaway high speed 2 and when I went to play the plunger wouldn’t work at all. However when I pressed the flipper for some reason it launched. I was wondering how you would go about fixing this. Also the left and right bumpers are not working so I’m assuming there is some power short somewhere in the machine. Any help would be great and if you need I can provide pictures. Thanks

I'd raise the playfield and look carefully at the wires leading to the plunger. One is probably pinched and shorted.

Go into your switch test and check 33 Gear Shifter low, 34 Gear Shifter high, 78 Shooter, 61-63 the Jet bumpers. Are any of them not working?

A Getaway local to me does this as well, is this a setting or compensation for a bad shifter switch?

Setting A.2 05 on page 1-29 in the manual says it is a setting.

It says check switch 74 and shifter error. I’m not sure how to find the switch test though. I went into the test menus and couldn’t find those

I also didn’t find a clipped wire so I’m not sure what to do from here

It does look like one wire( the one that’s the highest up and is white and red) has wires that have come out of the soldering?

Look on page 1-13 in your manual. You can try the switch edges (T.1) and/or the single switch (T.3). If you don't have a manual you can get one from IPDB.org.

On the last page of your manual is a chart for the switch matrix. Row two uses a White-Red wire. Are any of those switches where you saw the wires that have come out or was that on your shifter or auto-plunger or flipper?

It looked like it went into the flipper, it was one of the three that comes out of the plug. Do you think the best option would be to solder it back?

Turns out it indeed was a switch matrix and I took it in to fix! Thanks for everyone who helped
