I recently purchased a Getaway machine and upon uncrating the unit there were 2 issues:
    1) Neither coin mechanisms are not adding credits (although the serving button can add credits from inside of coin door).
    2) The left bumper is dead, but when game does a test of components it fires properly (The bumper contacts have been cleaned and checked) .

The seller mentioned that the ROM's may need updating, to which I'm new to this and unfamiliar about.

If anyone knows how to remedy these issues that would be great and appreciated.

    Thanks

    Gary B.

    1) could be a lot of
Things, coin mechs have a lot of
    Parts. Maybe it's set for
    Tokens?

    2) the switches on the sling must not be working; it's not registering at the board -
    Check wiring.

    Hello Rdoyle1978

Thanks for response. The supplier switched coins to quarters prior to shipping. The coins are tripping the credit relay switch as designed, and I've also manually tripped with door open with no effect.

I have reattached wiring connections to no avail.

Looks like you posted this to the EM part of the forum.
EM is for electro-mechanical, non-compueterized games.
You'll probably have better luck getting suggestions if you ask these questions over in the Tech:Modern Games section.
