Does anyone have advice on how to prevent the ball from bouncing out of the tunnel shot? It's supposed to lock in there, but about 1/3 of the time it bounces right out the side without sticking. It happens most often with a really clean shot that goes in there with a lot of speed.

some good, clear, well lit shots of the saucer and surrounding area would help a lot.

Does this help?

There is supposed to be a blue rubber in the back. It shouldn’t be just steel. Atleast that how mine is.

that's definitely the major cause of the issue. the blue rubber deadens the balls dramatically.

thorly sorry for the poor pic, but that needs to be on there... i think this one will do the trick

.....and, you REALLY need to sort out this de-lamination of the plywood urgently before the entire area starts disintegrating!

White wood glue - some clamps - time - sanding and possibly a little body filler - more sanding - apply several coats of clear as final finish and protection.

You can put a hole guard on it after repair

Padding seems to have resolved the issue. It still pops out every now and then, but I assume that's normal. Much improved. Thanks everyone.

As far as repair goes, the glue and clamps to stop the separation makes sense, but I've never used body filler to rebuild an edge like this. What is the recommendation for such a high impact area? All purpose wood filler? wood bondo? PlasticWood? An epoxy like JBWeld KwikWood?
