My diverter stopped working.

I dont know exactly how to use a multimeter, so maybe I’m doing something very wrong.

When I run the solenoid test for ball eject (which works fine) and measure dc between j107-2 and j127-1, I get intermittent blips of a couple of volts. When I run the same to j127-3 for the diverter low, I get a continuous reading per picture below.. so I try the same thing with a dmm that I just purchased, and I dint get any reading but smoke starts coming off the j127-3 pin. I try same test on j127-3 with analog meter without running solenoid test (machine is just on) and I get the same very high reading. I pull the f104 fuse and then I get no voltage reading between j107-2 and j127-3.

Any ideas what’s going on? Also any tips for what I’m doing wrong with my mm’s?

Okay, tried dmm again with red lead plugged in correctly and reading steady 72v on j127-3.
