Ball goes in the supercharger ring, goes around just fine, and after diverter wont open... falls back down the ramp.
I saw somewhere to take the glass off and get the sc to max and throw the ball up there. I did that and it actually worked! Everything back to normal for like 10 games, then the same issue came back except this time maxing the sc doesnt get the diverter working again.

    Sux.
Any1 have similar issue or advice?
    Clean/align optos, or ???

    Thx!

Are all your connectors at the supercharger accelerator magnet board good? j 5 is power to supercharger optos. J 6 is power to supercharger coils. J7 is power from power driver board. I had some bad ones and supercharger would sometimes not work so redid all the connectors. J118 sends 12 volts to accelerator board. You can test the optos in test menu. Are you getting any errors?

No errors, but when i tesst diverter hi and lo i just hear a clicking sound firing off.

Did you check what powers the diverter ? Maybe something broke ?

If it's one of these guys : https://www.pinballlife.com/williamsbally-diverter-plunger-and-spring-assembly.html

    The spring is probably broke.

I will check, but doubtful since the diverter had stopped working, but then i got it working again for several games, then it failed again.
If the spring was broke wouldnt it just not work at all?

Try posting in Getaway club. There are some knowledgeable guys there who follow that thread.

Are you sure you were testing the correct diverter in diagnostics? It sounds like you could have been testing the up/down ramp diverter, the one that allows the balls to be locked when shot around the upper loop or left orbit.

Ya pretty sure... i tested that ramp back there just to make sure.

Did you look under the playfield yet at the mechanism ?

There are 2 set screws that are probably loose on the diverted itself. It happens to mine. I would suggest putting loctite on the set screws.
