Quoted from kilmarnock1350:Cointaker Frosted?
Do you have flashers in there? Mine has flashers but they never work... as well, I can't find them in any of the test modes. This is left me confused/frustrated as no matter what I do they NEVER come on.
Yes frosted and a few incandescent. All my LEDs are from Pinball Life. The backbox flashers work with the playfield ones in test, or try "all lamps and flashers" test as well. Do they work with incandescent bulbs? If so try scraping the wires on the LED flashers and bending them out a little, or flipping them over.
First off, thanks to MustangPaul for his great ideas with the Comet strips. I used the 3 LED white for the gauges, 3 LED blue for the ramp to the supercharger ( just used the adhesive strip onto the sign), I used the 7 LED blue strip at the rear (used a piece of adhesive foam and put it on the top of the backboard with the strip attached to it. The last two pics are top and bottom of the saucer.

Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:Silly question, but how did you find it best/easiest to clean the bottom side of the inserts? Not something I considered, but I'm sure mine need it given the condition my underside is in . . . I really want my new LEDs to shine as best as they can.
Q tip soaked in windex is what I use, if really dirty more wet q tips are needed. I then use a dry one for a final wipe. You have to remove light boards to gain access.
Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:Even with the mm or so adjustment, they are still way off from each other when extended.
probably coil stops
Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:Okay, finished the side rails
Not a big fan of powdercoating, but the vinyl looks great.
Quoted from SUPERBEE:If you want, when I get home today I can find a piece of plastic, spray it and take some photos for you to see and get an idea of how it looks. Maybe help you decide before buying. Let me know.
would this work? Car Auto Mirror Chrome Silver Sheet Wrap Vinyl Sticker Film Air ebay.com link: itm
Thanks, I ordered a piece and will try it. I will have a look before I pull the backing off. I get what your saying about smooth surface.
Quoted from Bos98:For whatever reason my playfield will not engage properly
Try lifting the front of the playfield as you pull out. If the slides are bent this will help them engage better. I have taken them out and straightened them in a vice.
Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:rebuild my pops
Easy enough to do, only hassle is unsoldering and resoldering. Take your time. Make sure you get the base right and remember to insulate the lamp socket.
Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:Regarding the insulation over one of the leads
Just the one that goes right next to the coil bracket needs to be insulated. The other is far enough away from everything.
Quoted from TheOnlyest:Getaway was not originally designed with the PF sliders
Interesting. When I bought my Getaway the op had three at his place. None of the sliders worked. I thought he had done that purposely to avoid a good look at the machines. He had a very dimly lit shop, also to hide the condition of mostly reimports.
Quoted from seah2os:It says 50004 Rev. L-2
L2 is what many of us are using. I think it is a good one.
Quoted from Paseb:Where can i get a nice set of apron cards?
