Please move over....I've joined the club this week. I have to tell you that this game rocks. Even though I'm at page 55 of this thread, its quiet obvious that many other people think so as well....

So a few weeks ago, I join the club and then....supercharger flasher problem, divertor error, up down ramp error...really? The game was in great condition when I bought it, mods, LEDs,ignition key et al. It played well for a while...then... In any event after some help from Grumpy on the flashers, Marcos, and Doug at Player 1, we made up. A few more mods and a colordmd and all is well...for now....
Here are a few pics

My supercharger divertor is bugging me. The divertor works. Problem is that sometimes the ball is passes through the divertor because it is travelling faster than the divertor is engaging. I thought it was the coil that was losing strength. Tonight I replaced it and same thing happens. It works but only the pinball is not going through very fast. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I replaced the entrance optos. When that didn't solve the problems I examined the shaft and the plate. Both look solid and function as they should. I'm thinking maybe a wire dropped somewhere. I'm going to retrace the wires to the coil and the ramp to see if all is in order......
I''m posting this to help other owners who may be experiencing the same problem. My Getaway has been driving me crazy. I've had it a few months and I love it, but....it been one thing after another. The latest problem was the divertor operating slowly so that if the pinball travelled fast, the divertor gate would operate when the ball passed thus missing the supercharger. I tried everything. I readjusted the divertor shaft thinking that would solve the problem. I changed the divertor coil. I changed two transistors, Q82 and Q56. I even ordered a new gate even though my old one appears fine. Finally tonight my brother suggested a very simple solution...put a screw in the plastic behind the divertor thereby limiting the space it had to cover to open the supercharger. Problem fixed...

IMG_20180813_001305 (resized).jpgYou're right Tiltmonster there is a set screw that holds the divertor but it was really difficult to adjust to the right position. When I took everything apart I found that there was alot of slack in the shaft and entire assembly was wonky. I tried to order it put I was told it was not available. Here is a better picture of the solution I found. It reduces the distance the divertor has to travel to engage the supercharger. In case someone else is having the same problem
