Running version L-5 and have the game restart setting on "slow" so that if my ball 1 is terrible, I can hold start to restart the game just like I do with all my other pinball machines.
For some reason it does not work. Any ideas?

Quoted from daveyvandy:Pretty sure it needs to be on the other setting, fast I think it is. I have the same version and set it up to quickly reset as well.
The problem with "fast" is when I have people over to play that aren't familiar with pinball, a lot of them hit the start button when playing multiple people games and that would restart it. Rather than having to hold it to restart.
Quoted from FlippinJimmy:Had no idea you can do this. Does it work on most games?
My GHS is running version L-1 and is working fine. Should I change versions or leave it?
What is the best place to get colored rubber posts and bands from? I prefer a kit rather than having to guess what I need for each post, etc.
All the pinball machines I've owned have allowed to hold start to restart the game. So I'm not sure if all do, but if the settings menu has an option for it, it should work. I use Titan rubbers on my games, they have kits for games.
Recently started having issues with my shifter. When playing a game, sometimes the shifter does not change gears when it's supposed to. I have to flip it up and down several times for it to change gears. Other times it works properly like it always did before.
When performing the switch tests for up and down it registers every single time like it's supposed to. I've had L-5 rom in this machine for several years and it's always worked correctly. Haven't changed anything at all on the machine.
It seems to only occur during gameplay and at random times. It switches gears properly in video mode as well.
Any help is appreciated.
Quoted from AlexRogan84:Time to remove it and have a closer look. I would bet on it being the plastic shoulder mount piece that has one or both sides worn down or broken off. You can buy a 3D printed replacement from one of the Pinside members here if so.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Thank you for the advice. I can take it apart and give it a look. But why would it register properly every single time in switch test mode if that was the issue?
Need a bit of help with a few switch issues.
Number 24 "Always Closed" is not staying closed. It bounces between closed and open on occasion. It's not a fast blinking back and forth, more like it will stay closed for a while, then go to open for a while. Also, if I trigger the slam tilt, it will open switch 24, not sure if that's supposed to happen or not...
The main problem I've had is my gear shifter switches not operating. I made sure the wires are attached properly and I also checked J-205 and J-206 connections. The slings are working, so I know it's not column 3 being completely out.
So I'm not sure if I have a combination of issues here or just one bigger problem. I really appreciate any insight on this.
Thanks
