I ran across the PinSound site today. They've got all the Getaway sounds posted. There are several that I don't remember hearing, like the "I'm going as fast as I can" and the "Damn, they're shooting at us!" callouts...

I run L2. Are the callouts different in the later versions?

I've heard "Damn they're shooting at us" during multiball using L-1. There's a lot of call outs on that list I've never heard. I wouldn't be surprised if they were added in later revisions.

I hear it on L-2. It happens when you are in multiball and I believe either when you are hitting the red/yellow/green targets or when you go in the tunnel.

The call outs change after the first multiball as well. Some of those might be further into the game than I've been. For example the 4th locked ball says "this time were going to nail that dirtbag"

Quick tech question, on power up I get a 'shifter error' message, yet it functions fine throughout game play. Everything else is fine, small adjustment or dirty contact perhaps? Anyone ever had this?

When you play to you always shift up and never down? Play a few games and shift down. That's probably what it is.

Good call if it doesn't register a signal from the switch for so many games u get error, and hey who shifts down?

Every so often I shift down just to avoid the credit dot.

Will give it a go, it makes sense, just when your playing it says "shift gears" u never think down...will play different from now on.....if that doesn't fix er I'll repost....

So Stu at CPR is doing the plastics and backglass but not the playfield. Do you guys know who plans to make the playfield?? He says it's already being done by someone else.

I do....from 1st to 2nd and again from 3rd to 4th. My Mustang only has a 4 speed.

Stu said they were 'working on' plastics and back glass.... so that could mean anytime between now and the Rapture.

No clue who is doing the playfields... maybe PPS? Not sure.

I like the red leds around the speakers. Looks nice.

I read the thread. He mentions done elsewhere. I bought one and sent it Jim. Did not meet up to his standards. May want to be cautious on those. Seller was a plus though and refunded me.

Perfectplayfields.com is doing the playfield. $950. What do you think?

I'm comfortable touching up and clearing, but I'd have to do a ton of decal work and I'd rather not do that. $950 is a lot of money, though.

Mine had cloudy inserts and he said they were in some of the originals that way and that's what he did on purpose. I would ask him if that's changed.

Geocab, cointaker premiums color matched to inserts, just waxed it before pic too, so super bright. I have it sitting next to HS, and F14, a Ritchie trio! LED speaker rings are from pinballlife.

Your photo makes me want to LED my Getaway before I can buy an LED OCD board.

Sorry no GI are frosted LEDS in cool white, just added Mezel's top flashers, donut heaven and a 1/64 crown vic with flashing lights in top right corner today...

Just joined the club last night!
need to sort out a few bugs but nothing major.
have a few Q's

The lights in the supercharger,when do they come on?are they flashers?
mine dont seem to work at all

the speakers,
I took the dmd panel off for a quick look and the right speaker is smaller than the left.
but it looks stock.(sound is not great )

Cant wait to get stuck into this over the weekend!

They should come on when the ball is in the Supercharger and yes they are flashers. Yes the speakers are different sizes back there. Welcome to the club

One is a mid-range and one is a tweeter I believe.

Your in Ireland, I was over there about 5 years ago for the Celtic Woman Homecoming show in Dublin then me and my buddy spent a week driving around. I love your country and want to go back sooooo bad.

yeah im Irish!
one of a handful of pinheads,but a growing number thank god.
most of our pins were shipped to the UK by one person back in the early 2000's so there hard to get.
Unless you take the ferry to England.
I blew up a IC in the mainboard today.today. Luckily i had one to hand so got a new socket in and a new chip and back in action.
I have 1 main problem left to sort out.
The opto board for the entrance ramp/loop switch is busted.
when i get that sorted all i have is some flashers in the pops and the superchrger cover to fix and i'll be 100%.
then I can start the few mods I'd like to do.
playing without the supercharger sucks!

nice work,
definitely going to do some of them.
the dials on the bumpers look great.
I got the flashers in the supercharging working last night.
The only lights out now are the pop bumpers but the holders are missing so I ordered some today.

You know when the game say "run the red light"
Are you aiming for right orbit or the left to the lock?

Fired up the HS2 today, get a check opto 81,83,85 and the flippers are dead (buttons working though as pressing them "revs" the tach on playfield. looking in the manual schematics, I'm hoping just a fuse, but they all seem intact. Had a check fuses F114/115 too, so replaced those and that was gone, then the opto test report...ideas before I dig in too deep and make it worse?

81,81 are the 1st and 3rd optos for the supercharger magnets.
85 is the enter ramp opto.
both controlled by different boards.
Did you give them the "finger test"?I'd start there/check the optos are transmitting with a camera phone and check the leds on the big opto board.

I actually shorted a coil to the switch matrix a while back and got the check F114/115 error.
It had blown a chip on the mainboard (u20 i think) and a chip on the small opto board for opto 84/85
I couldn't clear the f114/115 error tho till i fixed u20 so not quite the same problem.

As regards to the flippers Ive no idea but as you said start with the fuses.

Typically it's a free game, but you can set it to extra points or an extra ball in the menus.

I've had the machine for awhile now, was the 3rd pin i bought, so, about time i joined the club and posted a few pics. A BIG shout out and THANKS to Mezel Mods, i really LOVE the blue topper flashers, they add to the "feel" of the game (getting chased by the cops, driving like a loonie, wind blowing the hair back, etc, etc), errrmm NOT that i've done that mind you . I also dig the donut heaven store and the police car as well. I've added a few other bits (alternative translite, LED star posts all round and LED price cards). Must also give a big HOY and TY to Dave for the flipper toppers as well (Love your work mate). I've ordered the plastic set and can't wait to put those on too
