With such an amazing catalog of music one of the few bands that you can truly listen front to back of literally their entire catalog. How many songs will be included? What songs will be included ? What personal LED songs do you want to see included ? What Led Zeppelin songs work best for pinball.... The Beatles has what only 9 ? Aerosmith had also 9 ? I hope they don't limit the Led Zeppelin Pin to just 9 tracks...Although AC/DC I believe had 12 tracks. Would the LE have additional 1-3 songs ?! I'm curious as to thoughts of other members this would be my personal favorite list as to what I think would work best for the anticipated upcoming Led Zeppelin Pinball aka LZLE:

    1: Whole Lotta Love - 1969
    2: Black Dog - 1971
    3. Ramble On - 1969
    4. Good Times Bad Times - 1969
    5. Immigrant Song - 1970
    6. Rock and Roll - 1971
    7. The Ocean - 1973
    8. Over the Hills and Far Away - 1973
    9. The Song Remains the Same - 1973
    10. Fool in the Rain - 1979
    11. Houses of the Holy - 1975
    12. Moby Dick - 1969
    13. Living Loving Maid (She’s Just a Woman) - 1969
    14. In the Evening - 1979

**And I'm sure they will be included, But they wouldn't make my personal LZLE pinball song list... Stairway to Heaven & Kashmir.

I’m down for whatever. I just hope there’s a lot of them. 20+.

    LTG : )

I’d add Hey, Hey What Can I Do to your list. It’s a B-Side, but as good as anything else they released. So, in my opinion, a song that must be included.

I love that song I DOUBT they will include it though (based on the lyrics).

LTG did you attend this LZ show ?

No. 1975 Guthrie great - 1978 Met Sports Center sucked.

Holy crap, there’s soooo many good songs. I agree, I hope they give 2 sets of songs to choose from. Black Knight lets you easily switch to an “alternate music” very easily in the menu.
    This would be ideal.
Some old video clips from Song Remains the Same would be amazing too.

Although not my favorite song...I always imagined this pin would bring back a similar lift mechanism like in Banzai Run backbox / upper playfield for "Stairway to Heaven"... the ball would just keep raising up. Doesn't necessarily need to have an entire backbox playfield , just seeing the ball raise up in the backbox would be awesome.

If i had to pick some songs I'd like to see are
    Stairway To Heaven
    Kashmir
    Whole Lotta Love
    Immigrant Song
    Black Dog
    All My Love
    Brandy and Coke
    Heartbreaker
    Rock and Roll
    When The Levee Breaks

Is this going to be similar to Beatles, a rethemed existing layout?

    #15 3 years ago

    Need this one too!

Take this with a grain of salt but from what I’ve read throughout the Pinside rumor mill of people with really good sources it’s going to be a unique layout.

Also another which makes sense rumor is that they will try to time it with JJPs GnR.

    Quoted from RumRunner9:

Physical Graffiti double album, perfect songs for double the points or multiball.

How has Communication Breakdown not made any lists?

Heartbreaker/Living Loving maid mix would be good as well.

That's the song that comes one when stern WiFi gets disconnected for global competition scoring.

Lol..Great Song though, hope it makes it!

It's never too early to think about Custard Pie.... But ahhhhhhhhhhh "Hot Dog" for breakfast ?

    #24 3 years ago

I was thinking the other day of The Rain Song.. for an extended attract mode ballad to lure you in to play?

    #25 3 years ago

I'm just afraid the Stern will only use a cover band for the Pro & Premium models and only give us the real songs on the LE, saving royalties on only having to sell 500 copies of the real thing....

    Yes

    Trampled Under Foot!!!

    #28 3 years ago

Nobody's Fault But Mine multiball and Achilles Last Stand wizard mode

    #29 3 years ago

    Right on!!!

One thing for certain is that reading this thread has me super pumped for this machine!!! And if by chance it is released at the same time as GnR, I am simply going to be in a little trouble at home...but "Forgiveness is Bliss"

I love LZ, and I think the art would be a fantastic fit for pinball. I’m just not convinced the music is a good fit. One of my favorite bands is Pink Floyd, and while I love their music, I don’t think it’s a good fit for pinball either.

The Rain Song is my favorite song of all time, but I don’t want to play pinball to it. I hope Stern uses songs like Black Dog or Kashmir. With ST rumored as the designer, I hope he doesn’t create an adrenaline-fueled layout with melodic rock operas.

Anyway, Stern is on a roll so I’m sure the game will be a blast either way.

I had made this list of Zeppelin songs in a thread several years ago (Jan. 2016) that would be good rock song candidates for pinball:

    Quoted from DCFAN:

    I would say definites:
    In the Evening
    Communication Breakdown
    Whole Lotta Love
    Immigrant Song
    Black Dog
    Living Loving Maid
    Heartbreaker
    Kashmir
    Stairway to Heaven
    Rock and Roll
    High likely:
    Dancing Days
For the change-of-pace "There and Back Again" style mode:
    Going to California
    Additional candidates (no particular order):
    Gallows Pole
    Houses of the Holy
    The Ocean
Over the Hills and Far Away
    Fool In The Rain
    South Bound Saurez
    When the Levee Breaks
    Misty Mountain Hop
    Custard Pie
    Out on the Tiles
    Achilles Last Stand

    In the Evening
    Communication Breakdown
    Whole Lotta Love
    Immigrant Song
    Black Dog
    Living Loving Maid
    Heartbreaker
    Kashmir
    Stairway to Heaven
    Rock and Roll

Some of the music would work well, but not all. I agree it'd be tough to implement the Rain Song into an exciting mode. With S2H they'd have to do something like they did for Metallica's One - play the end solo for the mode instead of the slow beginning.

How Many More Times is a great B-side that would sound good in the game. Rock n Roll, Heartbreaker, Immigrant Song, the last half of Dazed and Confused, Fool in the Rain's instrumental... lots of good material for a pinball.

    #36 3 years ago

One thing to keep in mind, the whole songs do not need to be played for them to be used in a pinball machine.

For example, when you drain or the game ends part of Heartbreaker could be played.

    Rush fuckin sucks!

Horrible vocals, boring over technical songs, overrated drumming (there I said it!), and of course, awful jr. high Lyndon LaRouche politics.

I guess Zep isn't so bad really in comparison. Just never really did it for me beyond a few songs like Immigrant Song and Good Times Bad Times.

    Boooooo....

Overrated drumming though? Peart was respected by every drummer, of every skill level.

Shit load. Black Dog for one.

    #42 3 years ago

What’s everyone wanting to see for art?

I always liked the Mothership art and the black/red scheme.

I think you gotta drag Dirty DOnnie out of mothballs for this one.

Agree, his art seems to be most of my fav’s and he would knock it out of the park for sure.

Don’t think he’s done a Steve R game yet either. What a combo that could be.
