The magnets were re-purposed from some old name tags I had. I would look for rare earth magnets. 5/16" diameter by 1/8" thick.
Not sure what type of grease I'm going to use but need to do something as they are kind of loud.

I bought this as well - worked perfect!
so my bottom right sling, inlane and outlane lights are working but they don't follow the rgb like the others. They do change color but appear to be on their own schedule! I checked for loose wires - nothing obvious. Any thoughts?
Anyone rig up a real knocker? I see there's one in coil test.
Got my beacons on, totally reversible. I'll probably noodle with my magnet mounts more to get them lower. I ran the wires down the back and through a crack behind the mounting plate.

Quoted from budroosker:I used red and tacky also and it works great!
Thanks libtech for all of your help, postings, and suggestions!
No problem bud, happy to help guys out!
The only thing Id change, is Ive mentioned to put down mylar in some spots (airlock, mother, invert ramp) and some guys have asked about around the bumpers. DONT I recently had a huge piece of clear coat peel right off with the factory magnet mylar, others in the batch may do the same.

Anyone know if you can buy the socket LEDs they use under the PF anywhere or are they proprietary to HP? Same with the under PF switches....
SOLD. I have a beacon mod for Alien for sale.
Made by Libtech 60.00 Can.
I no longer have the Alien games to put it on.
Quoted from Astropin:Same ones that Highway includes with the LE's ($15 each on eBay).
Astropin delt31 would you mind sharing what you searched on to find those beacons on eBay? Can't seem to find them.

Ditto here. I am adding them to mine too

Waiting for vac answer so I can order 2
What was mentioned earlier that was noisy and needed red n' tacky? The siren mech is noisy?
Guys check post #14 in this thread for all the info.
As the siren turns eventually the gears grind and make a noise. That red and tacky is a great lubricant and fixed it. I recall applying every month or so. It's not necessary to do all the time.
Good luck. Again sirens were such a must imo.
Quoted from PinBackpacker:Assume we want the 110VAC?
No, you want the 12VDC. That's what I used anyway.

FYI, in the 1.2 release, the beacon power was reduced, so they are a little dimmer, but MUCH quieter.

Which is perfect because I stuck LED's in mine.
How did everyone get their Alien here? Was it on the secondary market? I had a preorder in and got nothing.

I bought my SE from another Pinsider. I got my LE from a distributor.

I got lucky...direct from Heighway (SE).
I'm a paid in full LE owner. I got $8,500 worth of nada damn thing. Such is pre-order life as we all are painfully learning.
Still, even in the aftermath of the Heighway meltdown, really glad to see that the handful of people that actually received this game are enjoying it. Such a great theme and, by all accounts, a great pinball! Such a shame that more people will not get to own and enjoy it.

Yeah, i got fuct too. Was my dream theme and was likely to be my only ever NIB purchase. Still kind of want one even after getting strung along for years, but I don't feel like my pride will never allow me to pay for the same game twice, particularly at the higher prices people are flipping them for. The whole situation is disgusting and has really turned me off to pinball as a whole for a bit, so i guess maybe I'm the glass half empty guy
Quoted from Pale_Purple:The lucky ones that got an Alien, how are your games holding up?
So far so good. Great game.
I think I'm in. Can't believe I've paid for the f#cking thing twice, lol!! But I always said I wanted the game more than the money. I'll un-drain all the Alien threads now. What a ride, bloody hell.
My Alien doesn't work. It can sit for a while until I/O boards are available and I feel like screwing around with the Xeno head again.

What is your game build date?
Well, I’m definitely in! Being dispatched now. Been a long time between new machines. Wouldn’t have believed this would be next.

What’s up, Bart? You surely can’t disagree with me getting a game?
Long time, no post...owner of LE 139, Feb '18 build...forgot about this thread, but will be hanging here with all things Alien related....a serious machine...very grateful to have one....
Quoted from Pale_Purple:The lucky ones that got an Alien, how are your games holding up?
Solid...definitely needed new balls and quality USB cables suggested, but beyond that Alien rocks....
pinstadiums are great - not on alien though. Speaking of - what are you doing with two of these? What is your play there?
Quoted from libtech:Well, now you have to powder coat FT as well, did mine red, red would look great in your lineup, why two? Future speculation?
Yeah, it is on my bucket list to do red
Bought an extra one that needed some work for parts, but was able to get it up and running fully, so now I have two.
