Uh, ok. It might help to replace those broken ramp phurba's and mount them correctly. You might also want to point out sanctum has been repaired.

#3 5 years ago

May want to include a pic of the shooter lane.

I would say the Sanctum has been covered by a sticker that doesn’t match the PF color but good suggestions.

Sticker shock is a real bitch sometimes.

With respect, it's a very nice Shadow but not a fully restored showpiece. The sanctum area should look like new either through a new playfield or professionally restored (matching paint - not a sticker of any kind) would support a completely restored description.

I understand every Shadow has sanctum wear. But that shouldn't change the core definition of fully restored. I got excited because I'm in the market for one, then saw the sanctum area.

Still a beautiful example of the game. Love the alternate trans. Best on the sale.

Yes we did and I'm the one that started it so here we go again never fails, a friendly reminder...

Let's see what the inside of the cabinet looks like

#18 5 years ago

lots of dirt your "restorer" missed behind those stand up targets!

#19 5 years ago

This thing wasn't even shopped.

If you zoom in on pics, you can see really worn rubbers and dirt all over.

It's Georgeous from a few feet back. I would say it's value is around 3300-3500.

At least OP is giving Pinsiders a 200 discount from his eBay auction.
ebay.com link » The Shadow Pinball Bally 1994 Absoletly Immaculate Shopped And Upgraded

There is a $200 discount off of the Craigslist price. You never know, he may get it and laugh at us all.

I just sold a really nice shadow fully shopped with colordmd and more for $3800. It’s a cool pin- I’ve owned two.

#23 5 years ago

Bwahhahahahahba...nearly $6K for a Shadoe. Oh, man. I needed a good laugh. Thank you, OP!!!

#24 5 years ago

I can see a real restore getting the price up to 5k. But come on!
The sanctum decal is horrible! Really???!!!
Looking at the wear on the coin door, this poor working girl has a lot and lot of millage on her. Did she work for Lord Baelish (GOT) before you got her? A lot of quarters have been stuck in there for sure.
The cabinet bolts are rusted.
Cannot tell the flipper buttons from all the bright lighting....
The playfield picks are dark, but even then it is full of spots.
We have a lot of new members on pinside, hate for someone new to the hobby to fall for this!
Please stick to EBay.

#25 5 years ago

This is nice looking Shadow. Not commenting on the price but restored and especially fully restored means a new or professionally restored playfield is in the game, tumbled parts, wiring harness cleaned after its removal, etc. Bascially its the equivalent of a frame off restoration done to a classic car.

#26 5 years ago

If this is a $5700 shadow. Please contact me if you want a 10k shadow.

you lost me at the broken phurba and stickered sanctum. $3-$3500 is more realistic.

So obvious to anyo e who bothers to look! Where in tbe hell are these clowns coming up with these wacked out prices? Seriously is you are trying to sell overpriced shit take your crap to ebay not to a pinball site where most of us are highly educated and know what to look for.

#29 5 years ago

It's not fun though when the OPs don't defend themselves. Cmon op what say you?

Yeah, we need some feedback from the OP to get this really going like like the 600 play Baywatch thread!

Maybe thats why this game is so high it too also only has 600 original plays. Best part though is this one comes with a set of legs!

Slow down, you forgot, LIGHTED LEGS. That’s why the 600 play Baywatch didn’t sell...

I said this in the White Water thread and I'll say it again.

Stop expecting buyers to eat the costs of your mods - those were your choice OP.

Apples and oranges: the Whitewater one has a pile of mods that, while questionable in taste, are well done on a very clean and well shopped restored pin. Keep in mind it has new playfield, ramps, cabinet decals which are not mods. It is still overpriced. Everything on this Shadow is misrepresented, poorly done and dirty, with plenty of wear and broken parts while being touted as “Georgeous”, “Fully Shopped”, and “SHOWPIECE”. It is also overpriced, but due to different reasons.

Depending on the pin and mod, some mods do have a value long term more than other mods, and where that line is debatable. As a whole though, I do agree that sellers should never expect a dollar for dollar return on their mods.

I tried low-balling my house purchase using this logic but it didn't work.
