I had a bad coil in my <coincidentally> Genie blow a transistor in a Pascal board that I put in to test it.
It would come up with an "outhole is stuck on"
In my case: fried either the transistor (Q2) or the transil diode (DTOH) on the PI-1 X4.
Q2 is a BDW93C
DTOH is a transil diode P6KE62A
Newer pascal boards come with spares.
Some diagnostic info I got from Pascal:
to measure a NPN transistor (on the schematics, the arrows run from base to
emitter) :
examples: BDW93C, TIP122, BC547, 2N3055, BD241, TIP31, MPSA13, MPSU45,
2N6043..
- red tip on B, black tip on E : readout 0.5 to 0.7V OK
- red tip on B, black tip on E : readout 0.5 to 0.7V OK
- red tip on C, black tip on E : readout "0" (open circuit) OK

So check those transistors.
