So, my garage queen Genie was all good to go and I sold it, but developed one more problem

I have looked at the schematics in the manual I have, and they suck.

The solenoid fuse blew. With replacement of the fuse, the other solenoids work, but ALL right flippers dont. None are stuck on, and no fouls smells.

Can anyone help me on this one?

I assumed that all here possibly controlled by the same transistor on the driver board....but they are not listed on the schematic, and I doubt that the transistor could support all right flippers andyway.

Going a step closer to the CPU, I also see that there is a flip-flop IC on the boards, but again...the schematic I have suck.

The guy lives in another town. I am going to have him bring me the driver board for repair. But, I wanted to know. Does anyone know at which point all the right flippers share? Thanks!

I'd check the wiring to the flipper coils first.

Maybe a connection loosened up during transport.

Happens all the time.

Doubtful its the board...

Look for cold/cracked solder at the flipper relay, as well.

Ok, I tested the connections, and all is good. I have the driver board in front of me. Can anyone tell me which Transistor(s) on the board are for the left flipper? Thanks!!!

Not a gottlieb guy, but read this:

Flippers are not CPU controlled, so the driver board is probably not the issue.

Did you check for power at the flipper coils?

Should be 24vdc at either terminal on the coil.

Check the connectors at the boards, too. They are prone to failure and may need to be re-pinned. All of this is in the page I linked to in the previous post. Great info there from the master...

Also, props to you for fixing this.

Slow down sir...
As prmailers noted, System 1 flippers are not under any kind of board control. The circuit is the same as an EM game. Flipper power is always present at the coil. The flipper cabinet switch closure provides the path to ground. It's that simple.

Since the left side works, power probably isn't the problem.
My guess is that the flipper cabinet switch points are fouled, or one of the wires to the clipper cabinet switch has broken free.

Have him examine the cabinet switch and perhaps file it with power OFF.
Have him jumper across the solder tabs for the switch...flipper should fire.
