    Wow, you are correct on the resistor value (schematic vs bands). I was going to say maybe the cap was mounted up the line, but that leg sticking up makes me thing it blew off.

    With the capacitor MFD = Microfarad = uf <- just in case it is listed that way. Also, with the capacitor you want to match the value, but the voltage can be higher on the replacement without issue. So if it was a 25v and you have a 35v that is alright, and even safer.
