I took out a column transitor when I was converting to LEDs. Once I replaced it the insert LEDs worked just fine.
Quoted from sporazoa:Another place it tends to get stuck is just to the left of the pop bumpers. There is a sort of cradle between the plastics under the ramp that the ball settles into. Is there supposed to be a rubber there?
I have never had a ball get stuck on top of the heart of rock & roll plastic. The attached photo shows the rubbers I have in the pop bumper area. The manual calls for a 4 inch rubber in this area. This is wrong and will not work. It takes two 2 or 2.5 inch rubbers.
Quoted from freddy:Looking for a DR. Dude apron to replace the one on my game. Any help appreciated . Thanks in advance. freddy
Tilt Graphics makes a magnetic apron. I like it and have it on my Dr Dude.
Magnetic Apron (resized).jpgQuoted from DakotaMike:Hi, looking at buying my first Dr. Dude. Can anyone tell me how wide the backbox is? I've got a doorway that's like 28.75" wide, and so some games fit and some don't without fiddling with the head. Can anyone measure their's for me? Thanks!
Back box is 28.75 inches
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:I'm not sure how the dude o meter affects the jackpot either. Is it a million for each step on the meter? I will have to play around and pay more attention. All I know is that Super Dude you can get a gazillion.
My experience is when I am at Super Dude the Jackpot-O-Meter is flashing and I get 5 million + points for a jackpot, if I get a second jackpot it is also 5 million + points. When I am back at Plain Duke the Jackpot-O-Meter is at 1 million. If I score that Jackpot the meter moves to 2 for a second Jackpot if it is scored during the same multiball.
Even if I set the hits for Jackpot at 2 it may take two or three shots to the mixmaster to score a jackpot. Does anyone have suggestions on how to make the targets more sensitive?
I’m rebuilding the flippers on Dr Dude. The right flipper coil is a little toasty so I am replacing it. It is now blowing F5. Can someone take a picture of the correct wiring as I must be getting it wrong. I wrote a note that the long blade of the EOS goes to the center lug. Thanks.
Quoted from GRUMPY:Now that you wired the coil incorrectly you should replace both coil diodes. They need to be installed in the correct direction.
Once that is done you connect the blue/yellow wire to the lug that has 2 windings on it. Then one of the wires from the EOS switch goes to the middle lug. And the last lug gets the other wire from the EOS switch and the blue/violet wire.
Thanks, I changed the diodes and wired the coil correctly & it works.
