Looks like it replaced Woz. I really liked the Met
& Avatar when I was there.

Btw, the pins there played awesome.

#3 7 years ago

Yeah WOZ is gone. Metallica plays amazing and they have the volume up! I have a MET pro led on order but until it arrives I have to come here to NYNY to play it haha!

#4 7 years ago

NYNY pins Are the best location games I've seen/played for location.
Bummer it replaced WOZ, that was the only good woz I've ever played. Maybe they moved it to Excalibur?
Can't wait til I can get out there again and try GB.

#5 7 years ago

The newest and cleanest lineup of pins I have ever played on location. I forget the operator's name on here but dude knows what the fuck is up.

#6 7 years ago

Yeah the guy who runs these machines really is on top of it. They ALL play perfect, play fast, and look amazing. He even mods them with Differrnt color LED's here and there, color changing speaker kits, undercab lighting, toppers, super bands, pinblade graffix they just all are very nice. It's crazy though because EVERY time I come here no matter what time of day I seem to be the only person playing them. Lots of people stop and look at them for a few seconds but that's it. I also LOVE that you are issued a card and you just swipe it like a credit card in the green glowing things on the front. You put credits on your card at an automated station. It's cool cause it tells you your cards history and which games you have played, how many times and when. No coins or dollar bills to fiddle with between games. Just swipe and go haha.

Looks like Mustang replaced Woz. I was there a couple weeks ago and Mustang wasn't there.

No Mustang has been here for awhile now. Ghostbusters replaced WOZ. I live here....I come here quite often

#9 7 years ago

Nice! Had no idea they had pins there. Cool to have another.location at which to play. I'm actually at the airport on my way to LV today too.

#10 7 years ago

Very nice and I don't have to walk back to my hotel because a cab won't come there... Ba Dum Dum.

#11 7 years ago

Very cool. I've got a Vegas trip planned for next month. It isn't always convenient to get out to the Pinball HoF since it's so far off the strip, but this may be enough to scratch my itch while I'm out there. Is there a convenience fee to obtain a card to play?

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. Ok, so yes, GB replaced Mustang (been there for about a year) a few weeks ago. However, last week WOZ developed a problem so I pulled it and brought the freshly shopped Mustang back in to fill the hole.

WOZ has now been repaired, waxed, rubbered, and mylared. I also added a couple of additional cooling fans at the back of the cabinet to help keep the inside of the cabinet cool as it runs 16 hours per day, 7 days per week. I expect to have WOZ back in by next weekend.

No, the NYNY play card is free.

Hey extreme what speakers and subwoofer do you have in MET cause it sounds great! I'm wondering cause when my MET gets delivered I'm hoping it sounds as good as yours??! Thanks again for maintaining these pins to the level that you do!!

Flipper fidelity. Had to use anti-rattle tape on the edges of the glass cause it pounds something crazy.

#15 7 years ago

Funny quick story. I have a co worker who does training for our clients and visits Vegas often. He knows I'm a pinball guy and text me pics of him playing at NYNY every so often. He's absolutely in love with the metallica! So much he wants to buy one (it would be his first pin). A future pinhead hopefully because of this Metallica. I told him I'd keep a lookout on the local market for one (pro).

Thats what made me order mine!!! Ive always heard its such an awesome game but when I actually got to play it at NYNY I HAD to HAVE ONE!! Its AMAZING and I love Metallicas music also. Luckily my wife was with me playing the pins that night and she saw how much I was enjoying MET (she liked it too) so it only took a day of pestering her and telling her this is prolly the last run of NIB MET's for some time. Then I got the "approval" to order one from my local Stern guy lololol. Its prolly arriving this week I've been told!!! Cant wait

That's an Avatar LE on location I might add. Never ever seen one in my life before last week. Thumbs up to this place!

What are you going to do when MGM properties starts charging for parking?

#22 7 years ago
Quoted from SilverBallz:

Take an Uber like everyone else...at least that's what we did when we visited for Nationals a few months ago.

Walked 50 miles in 5 days, and hopped a bunch of Ubers when we were too tired or going to/from our hotel...we were at Stratosphere. Too much walking to get from there to the main part of the strip twice a day. =P

And I agree, the games we saw in NYNY were the best looking games on any location I've ever been to. Modded, LED, clean...prices were high, but I'm sure the games played well...I just didn't want to pump a ton of money into that arcade.

Actually Mustang replaced WOZ. I was just there in late may, I took these pics on May 27, Woz was right next to the GB I was playing. When I was there the top flipper on Star Trek wasn't working, but it was fixed the next day I went back. So they are definitely on top of issues there, all the games were clean and in great condition.

GB code updated to 1.05 this afternoon.

All others are already current code.

This. I'm in Vegas 2 to 3 times a year and have never played here. How do you find it from inside the hotel? Putting 20 bucks in one machine will give me more entertainment than a slot.

Its just upstairs in the arcade right by the rollercoaster entrance.

Parking fees started today but its FREE for the first hour. So just be done in an hour or go move your truck and grab another ticket lol. But its also still FREE for NV residents until Dec 29th 2016. So there are a couple options still haha

I think mustang must get rotated around a bunch cause here it is in the lineup from Sept 2015

Mustang didn't really earn much while it was there from June 2015 - May 2016, a month less than a full year. I pulled it when GB was ready. Right now I use it as a filler when/if another game goes down (WOZ), rather than leave a hole in the line up. My box truck is at the dealer for an A/C repair, otherwise WOZ would have been back in on Sunday.

Ahhhh gotcha!! Good to hear that WOZ is coming back cause it played great!! I definitely want to get some more time in on this one. And I'm not surprised at all that Mustang is the lowest earner in your lineup. When me and my buddies go there Mustang is the only one we dont play

Ah so it's your place, how is GB doing? I did try all the tables, but mostly played GB and Metallica, those were by far my favorites. Kinda want a Metallica now

#32 7 years ago

Just came from the location. Impressions - Holy shit these are the nicest pins I have ever seen on route, hands down. They are gorgeous, blinged with great lighting and tasteful mods, perfectly waxed and cleaner than you have any right to experience on route. ExtremePinball, sir, you have out done yourself and I tip my hat to you. You've definitely earned a repeat coin drop from me every time Im in town.

And then I put up a new Grand Champion score on Ghostbusters, which I will milk for every ounce of ego it strokes until one of you out there wipes me out

Not to deflate your ego, but he must have wiped the high score table as the top score was around 1.9 billion when I was there in late May I agree about the cleanliness of the place, it was really nice, I'll definitely be back each Vegas trip.

Yeah I would never support an operator with kick ass games, heavily modded, and fully playing?!?! No wonder location pinball is dying.

#35 7 years ago

Looks like an awesome lineup! I know where I'm headed when I'm there in August much easier to get to as well than the usual stop at the hall of fame. Wish I had known about this for the past years I've been going for conferences!

#36 7 years ago

I will check this out in a months time, I hope they take international cards?

He, that was my thought exactly. I spent $20 bucks and was there for hours. "a ton of money", geeeeeeeeeezzzzz!

yeah, give it to the casinos instead, they really need and deserve it.......
I for one will be pumping some cash into these machines later today, and can't wait.
Anybody else in town for InfoComm? Just earned my CTS-I and now it's time to party.

Had to return to NYNY for another night of pins. Placed was packed, actually had people waiting in line to play Ghostbusters and Kiss.
Everything was playing fast, machines were immaculate.
You are really cheating yourself if you don't check this place out when in Vegas.

Thats awesome! I went back the other night also with my wife and one of my pinball buddies and we were doing 3 player action on Metallica and Ghostbusters! Sooo fun. Place was pretty packed that night as well. Free parking for NV residents till Dec 29th sooo take advantage Las Vegans!!

#42 7 years ago

Wow nice lineup! If that were near me I'd practically live there.

#43 7 years ago

I'll be there in two weeks. Thanks for the heads up

I haven't been out in about a month, but is NYNY pay to park now? What about excalibur?
I usually park in excalibur and walk to NYNY.

Yes unfortunatly all MGM owned casinos are now pay to park. Free for NV residents until December 29th. It's also free for the first hour for anyone then it's either 5$ or 7$ depending on the casino for the first four hours I think? Then it goes up to the next pay bracket once it gets past four hours. Unfortunately MGM owns Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Aria, MGM and many others. I suspect it's their way of paying for that new T- Mobile arena they just finished building right behind Monte Carlo. Once it is no longer free for NV residents I will be parking at a non MGM owned casino and walking over. But for now it's still free for me cause I'm an NV resident.

Unfortunately, I am guessing Caesars and other casino properties will follow MGM's lead soon enough.

I really gotta go check out the pins at NYNY soon. Sounds like a fantastic alternative to the PHOF to mix it up a bit!

I agree. Once the Caesars owned properties see how much money MGM is making it will soon follow. I foresee the whole free parking thing in Las vegas being a thing of the past. Its like the resort fee when it was introduced. People complain about it as just another way to squeeze money out of you but now people pay it like its nothing. Thats how parking will be soon. Me and my wife like to go play pinball at NYNY or just go eat at a restaurant sometimes but its getting more and more expensive to go to the strip. I really wish locals were exempt from the parking fees at least.

#49 7 years ago

Wow! That sucks big time!

Hopefully free for their hotel guests...

Thanks for the info.
