fingers crossed for the final information necessary so that I can post an official announcement w/ pricing thread next week

Joust looks cool, never actually played one though. Is it all it is cracked up to be? The idea is awesome of a head to head pinball table. Someone should make a modern one.
So cool seeing their laser cut out the petg. Thanks for the video.
Can't wait to buy the plastics!

Speaking as one who owns the three main solid state head to head pins, Joust is by far the best of the three.

Is is more of a novelty, or something that would be legitimately fun to play on a regular basis with friends?
I ask because I'm seriously considering making one for fun. Seems like a lot less work than a full-blown machine. Would give me something to do with my micro-controllers and spare parts.
Looks amazing! Can't wait!
I love Joust and think it's a lot of fun. Playing against another person on a non-head to head game just doesn't have the same competitive feel as Joust does. It's also a great game for 2 people who are pinball novices to play vs each other. I also think it's the perfect game for settling or deciding something. Everything from "Loser buys the pizza/dinner" or loser flys or buys the beer. Even great for settling arguments between the kids who are arguing over who gets to sit in the front seat when you are gettin' ready to go somewhere. "I'll Joust ya for it" can easily become a common saying.
