Guys it's just a fun gimmick, not the Olympics
I agree, I'll have fun playing the right way. If some geek wants to spend time learning how to cheat rather then play pin and actually gets enjoyment from that then that's on them.
Quoted from The_Gorilla:
Reminds me of the peeps who knock a couple of strokes off of their score in golf. Why?
My sister in laws "friend" beat me by 4 1/2 strokes one round. That's right. 4 1/2. The 1/2 comes from putts close enough to the hole that she felt didn't need to be played. Most of those putts were from outside 10 feet. She also didn't play from bunkers, unless you consider throwing them from the sand towards the green playing them.
The best part was how excited (cocky) she was announcing that she won the round.
Some common settings, such as pitch, post settings, etc. could be adjusted via solenoids, etc. and therefore tournaments across different machines in different locations could be fairer and more standardized. Webcam integration would be fairly easy to integrate and could provide a more interactive experience. I am amazed that standard network (either Wi-Fi or Ethernet) is not part of standard machines these days. I think it would be a good way to expand the market though, since the next generation is a connected one.
