Gary Stern flew 8,000 miles to come to New Zealand for Pincade 2016!

When I invited him a few years back, he said one of his dreams was to ride a hog around NZ. So while he was in Auckland, he hired a real nice Harley and rode it around the city.

Honestly, you couldn't get a better ambassador for pinball. Almost the whole population of NZ now has a gift of a Gary Stern signed translite or flyer.

Yesterday the NZ Herald (NZs largest newspaper) came down to my place and interviewed him. Some good shots of the System 11 World Championship in the background.

I was so busy organising/playing in the comps I didn't get the chance to take any photos at all, hopefully others will post some.

Best 4 days of the year are at Pincade. Gary says he aged about 2 weeks with the schedule!

    Thanks for that Mark.

It was a big gamble to try and run a huge 70-80 person comp like that in one day (Josh Sharpe was like WTF!!) but we pulled it off sweet! I was saying to the other guys, it was probably the smoothest comp I had attended anywhere in the world, everything just went 100% as I had hoped it would, and all the competitors were excellent, I don't think we had any grizzles all day.

I had thought I was going to be a bit optimistic to get through 740 (!) qualifying games by 2pm, as it worked out we were done by 2.30pm.

My thanks also go to the guys that helped out with the comp, especially poor old PaulOz who was stuck in the "scoring bunker" for 6 hours inputting 740 scores. And my thanks to all that attended and made it a great event.
