    Quoted from beelzeboob:

Damaged but functional. It was nearly brand new when I left it out. I think I used it twice by that point. The stuff thats bent on it bespeaks one hell of an impact at some point.

Can you sill use a little help with this ? Please let me know.

    Save the boobies !

    Quoted from Atari_Daze:

I'm really enjoying this topic which is much like a run on sentence...

It sure has had some twists and turns.

I found it late, and keep hoping for pictures of The Boob's new Escalara !

I'd much prefer to send you some pics of the Escalera's new boobs.

    Please allow me.

    Quoted from tslayer71:

Wow Steven your arcade must be killing it if you have to sell crappy t-shirts to make money. Only a douchebag like you would think it's funny to profit off of breaking other people's stuff...

Is there a list of these ?

    Basement flooded need donations
    Sump Pump need donations
irritable bowel syndrome ( don't remember if that needed money )
    Open arcade/museum need donations
COVID arcade can't be open need donations
    Break Beelzeboob's Escalera need donations
Broke his dog vet bill need donations
    Tip Jar need donations
Hit by Car ? need donations

    Any missing ?

    LTG : )

    #3339 3 years ago
    Quoted from PismoArcade:

You forgot the vet bill donations for his dog.

Thank you, I'll add it to the list.

    LTG : )

    #3342 3 years ago
    Quoted from Electrocute:

Don’t forget the fund raiser at the coffee shop with the “tip jar”.

    Added

    Quoted from Frippertron:

Wasn’t he hit by a car crossing the street?

    Added

    Thank you both.

    LTG : )

    #3349 3 years ago
    Quoted from La4s:

I don't think he actually asked for money after he got hit by the car.

Maybe the car owner needs some help to scrape him off the bumper ?

    LTG : )

    #3370 3 years ago
    Quoted from Mbecker:

Were there REALLY that many go fund mes?

Not sure if any go fund me's or any other fund raising sites.

There was plenty begging people to send money for a lot of different things.

Which initially some people did contribute to the flooded basement and sump pump. Maybe other cries for $$$$ help.

    Quoted from Phat_Jay:

Wait. You mean arcade operators DONT make more than a surgeon?

Did you leave the "T"out ?

Most make more than a sturgeon. Just not much more.

    LTG : )

    #3421 3 years ago
    Quoted from bluespin:

Being an arcade operator is all fun and games, isn’t it.

    It's a blast.

Since late June I'd lost power four times including twice today. Haven't had this issue in over 25 years.

2020 - the year of WHAT THE HELL NEXT !

    LTG : )

    #3449 3 years ago
    Quoted from russdx:

A janitor paid more then a surgeon!

A Pterygoplichthys paid more than a sturgeon.

    #3462 3 years ago
    Quoted from bbarker007:

also why would the mods make LTG's post a key post when it is fake news

Wasn't fake news. It is a question.

    #3484 3 years ago
    Quoted from PismoArcade:

Hey Lloyd...you might want to pencil in "legal fees donations" to the list.

That would be a biggie. No attorney would handle it on a contingency. So you'd need about $10K up front to hire a good litigator. And a good one would tell you that you can't win.

    LTG : )

    #3542 3 years ago
    Quoted from pookycade:

only one that truly knows what the hell they are talking about is Lloyd.

    Not anymore.

47 1/2 years of experience in my arcade and what to expect. When I'll be busy. When it will be slow. When no one will be around. Everything learned out the window when I was shut down for 3 months.

    It's a whole new world.

    Quoted from 1974DeltaQueen:

Does Pinside recognize and IP address?

Yes. That helps find multiple accounts.

    #3574 3 years ago
    Quoted from brucipher:

I find it interesting that he didn't have the money available to buy Randy a new Escalera, but seems to have money to keep buying games. What a shyster.

Blown out crap is probably way cheaper than an Escalera.

    LTG : )

    #3575 3 years ago
    Quoted from JodyG:

I am not sure what happened, but a friend of mine drove by a couple times today just before noon as he was running errands. He reported that there in fact was not a line of people waiting to get in on the busiest day of the week. I am sure there will be a rally into the evening though.

Would that make the weekends even quieter ? Or perspective. Two people in there looks packed compared to empty ?

    LTG : )

    #3577 3 years ago
    Quoted from pookycade:

Listing new games coming for future attractions is a tried and true strategy for getting more business,

I've always found it better to get it on the floor, up and running. Then blast social media. Or now days on Facebook and Pinside a simple anybody want to come help set it up ? I can wrestle them around like I could 40 years ago.

Things can come up. And customers looking forward to it are disappointed. Or might seek it elsewhere. Then all you've accomplished is promoting your competition.

    Quoted from ForceFlow:

I've never flown a helicopter. But if I saw one in a tree, I'd know that it's not supposed to be there

    Easy for you to say.

You've probably never flown a tree before either.

    LTG : )

    #3592 3 years ago
    Quoted from beelzeboob:

...except that it looks like he's got nearly a hundred examples of blown out crap. I like the part of the video where he's boasting about having multiples of all these games. Must be nice. I only had one new Escalera. (But I've got another one now, thankyouverymuch!!!)

Yes. But at $5 each, minus the ones he was paid to haul away. Is still way short of a new Escalara for the Boob !

He should take a long hard look at his wild hair and beard. And clothes. While he may like it. What does a customer coming in for the first time think ?

You only get one chance to make a first impression.

You want repeat business. Do everything you can to earn it. Look professional, for a tech.

    I agree.

Yeah, but what a dog face!

    Woof. Woof. Woof woof.

That's dog speak for beelzeboob's Mother loved his cute little dog face.

    Joke about me, my wife,

My favorite was when you were hoping for more friends on Facebook and everybody ran there and friended your wife.

    LTG : )

    #3712 3 years ago
    Quoted from pacmanretro:

Wait....they couldn't get the hooker up the stairs?

Not even the boob's new Escalara can haul the ones boob likes up the stairs. He likes them heavy.

    LTG : )

    #3718 3 years ago
    Quoted from beelzeboob:

I'll let my wife know you said that. You're a dead man.

She'll know that is from :

    Quoted from pacmanretro:

Wait....they couldn't get the hooker up the stairs?

Your Wife is to fine a Lady to be confused with a ton of hooker.

What are the legal and/or tax implications of calling your business a 'museum?'

Doesn't matter what you call it. Unless it's registered as a non profit. It's a business.

    LTG : )

    #3794 3 years ago
    Quoted from Electrocute:

Extremely weird. “Full of players”. Yeah, right.

I never thought of using a different location's picture to advertise mine. From the video fad era, 40 years difference. Every place was packed back then.

Not to mention after closing ? That player a burglar ?

    #3798 3 years ago
    Quoted from dontfeed:

Wait, I don't remember arcades having games that close together back then.

1979 to 1981 during the video fad, yes they were.

    Quoted from dontfeed:

They were always spaced out to maximize space so players could walk about freely without crowding each other.

You'd need a lot of unused space to think like that. Back then you'd stuff more games in.

    LTG : )

    #3810 3 years ago
    Quoted from dontfeed:

Man, that's just desperate and sad.

It happens. Even in the best of times. An arcade isn't busy all the time.

    Quoted from pacmanretro:

Well....a black plaque is certainly better than having black plague

I can see it now. Medieval peasant pushing a wheel barrow, ringing a bell. Crying out, "bring out the boob, bring out the boob, bring out the boob".

    LTG : )

    #3848 3 years ago
    Quoted from edward472:

And he begged for money on the side of the road to afford the bell

And claim the wheel barrow is full even though no bodies in it.

    #3879 3 years ago
    Quoted from pacmanretro:

    THAT.....is an impressive beast!

Randy's Escalera is pretty impressive too !

    LTG : )
Disclaimer : First time I ever heard the boob referred to as a beast.

    #3882 3 years ago
    Quoted from pacmanretro:

Yeah....makes my tiny, beat up, old, basic one feel kind of ashamed

    I know the feeling.

Back in 1981 when times were great and I got a pinball cart, appliance dolly, lift gate, or again early 1990's when times were good. Why the heck I didn't bother to get an Escalera or similar dolly then ?

    LTG : )

    #3886 3 years ago
    Quoted from Flowst:

    I suspect alcohol and debauchery

No. Drinking days were behind me. And debauchery didn't commence until 1994.
