    Quoted from dasvis:

Has the tip on that soldering iron ever been cleaned?
How can you expect good heat transfer from that nasty looking tip.

Did you expect his tip to be clean? He can't even clean his sweat pants.

    Can't delete Google reviews.

    Nope. Especially legitimate ones.

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

If everybody who has been a douche on the internet got hit by a car almost nobody would be left walking.
Except my mom of course. She’s a saint!

Or the old lady driving the car.

    Quoted from edward472:

You could rent your games... just saying

That would mean they might come back in better working condition with locks on them.

    Quoted from bluespin:

Maybe this otaku clone can write a “I know everything about solid state pinball repair guide.”

It will be missing a chapter on how to install locks.

    Quoted from albummydavis:

My guess is he’s in completely dire straits. And his need to deny it points out exactly what is happening. He won’t be the only business pushed over the edge by this crisis.
It is amazing how his first instinct is to mooch off of others. He should really go out and find a job and run this as a side business. Wouldn’t be the only one to do this. This should be his first inclination rather than feeeloading

I think I remember him saying he couldn't get a real job because he has issues with his digestive tract.

He needs to sell his inventory, rent out machines, and otherwise flip anything he can find.

    #1730 3 years ago
    Quoted from Colsond3:

I have serious GI issues, have for years. And his don’t seem to prevent him from running an arcade full-time, lugging heavy machines around, fixing them, attending shows, etc.

I agree with you 100%. Just another excuse, so he doesn't have to take responsibility for his actions.

Besides, I'm sure it didn't stop him from eating those cupcakes from reddogg.

    Quoted from Electrocute:

Between the coffee shop donations and his latest GoFundMe, I’d have to say he’s doing great! The place makes more money when it’s closed.

Less overhead too. Lower electric bill and doesn't have to pay his 1 employee.

    #1804 3 years ago
    Quoted from hocuslocus:

Unless he was denied the loan, a GoFundMe doesn't really make sense.

He will take peoples money anyway he can. Especailly if he doesn't have to work for it, or pay it back.

    Quoted from Otaku:

Okay, there is oooooone little thing I'd like to get out of the way before bed and a nice blissful return...

I've been thinking - isn't this a little ironic of a thread for you to be chiming in on so often? We're both 22, and you act more like me when I was 16. I actually think you've done a really great job of filling my shoes while I was gone... actually, I think you trumped me... maybe even trumped Kaneda... that downvote ratio IS extremely gnarly (and way worse than even yours truly's, not to mention mainly when I was years younger than you are now)... and your reputation is leaking so badly I've heard bad things about you before even coming back to the site just now, which is pretty bad. Many have said you're the Otaku times two, and I have to agree... actually it kind of makes ME look bad.

That is only a very select few from your very colorful post history others have alerted me to.
Think what you want, but maaaaaaaybe it's time to stop replying to this thread, Moberg. I am hanging out with the exact people you idolize (who are laughing at your corny and immature conduct on this thread, maybe you should re-evaluate that video reply you got earlier in the thread on your childish "I will never watch those videos I am so upset!" comment) and make my living every day doing what you are asking others for help on how to do. Just stop, especially because you're not out here doing what I am, you're just wanting to. And have some half-decent self-awareness for goodness sakes.
Okay, okay, I promise... peace on Earth now!

Except he never stole money from the community.

    Quoted from Otaku:

I have tens of thousands of people waiting to come back, and our heavy social media presence has not waned. February, like every other month since opening, was slammed before this all went down, and this summer would've been an extremely good one. Well, if the doors are locked (March - July), no matter how successful you are, it doesn't pay the bills. It's a hard stop, even if you're the best arcade in the world. If a majority of people don't feel ready to venture out to recreational facilities yet, that doesn't pay the bills. It's just a means of getting from point A to point B, to continue to enjoy the fruitful business I've built and welcome all of our valued customers back into our facility - but there's no doubt me and every other arcade owner is struggling right now. It's not a result of the business or how it was run, it's a global problem. My business is successful, but is also struggling, like every other arcade in the world. It's not an unsuccessful business, it's a successful business afflicted with a national issue we're all struggling with. It's not that black and white. Heck, any unsuccessful business with this weight added on top of it is already out of business from the struggle, so we're blessed to be able to be doing well enough make it through, and the fundraiser certainly helped lighten the load.
There's lots of people donating for the sentimental kind-hearted reasons, but I'm sure there's people donating just because they don't want to lose their local arcade - and that makes sense too. Lots of people looking forward to our return!

You clearly said you have enough to make it through the hard way. The fact that you have another GoFundMe says otherwise.

    Quoted from Otaku:

No relief from feds, state, or landlord, but thankfully we have the sheer numbers/savings alone from the very prosperous year we had, to make it through the hard way.

    #2063 3 years ago
    Quoted from Otaku:

Believe me, I'm not dumb enough to post those here - as much as I would love to, because a lot of people would have fits And if I did, you'd say I'm bragging

Hope you are reporting the GoFundMe as business income on your books. I'm sure the IRS would be interested in seeing those books.

    #2066 3 years ago
    Quoted from Otaku:

    Got customers...
Early afternoon all-day-pass rush coming in, very typical for the summer. They are actually beating the timed passes so far since opening believe it or not, which is helpful. Up to 5 of those right now. Typically see a majority of those passea bought early in the day so people can get the most hours out of it (and comes with free re-entry so people usually leave and grab dinner and come back). Towards the night it obviously goes more towards the timed passes but also get the people planning to stay 3 hours or so buying the all-day passes at like 6 PM, so it's all over the place.
Sold over 20 of those last weekend alone, one family stayed 9 hours straight with it... it was nice. It's a bargain for 10 hours of fun! One of our best sellers, and it's really pulling into the lead since re-opening.
    [quoted image]

Just curious... Were they wearing masks?

    #2241 3 years ago

Don't worry, neither of these guys have any contact with the general public.

    #2345 3 years ago
    Quoted from Electrocute:

The stuff he bought to fill his “museum” was bought on the cheap. Some just given to him. He’s going to be disappointed when he decides to sell.

It he ever sells his spares, he will probably ask insane prices for them.

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

No no I think he has the money he just hasn’t figured out to send it to boob.
It’s a mystery of the ages how to accomplish this.
I think they settled on carrier pigeon, with a St. Bernard as backup. They are training both animals as we speak and the project should be ready for a dry run sometime in the late Fall.
Hang in there boob! It’s on the way.

I thought his generation is just naturally better with technology. Guess he has never heard of Paypal, Zelle, or Venmo.

    #2443 3 years ago
    Quoted from Ericc123:

I guess my offer to buy a MS Pacman or Mousin Around and send the money to #paytheboob isn't going to be accepted.

He will gladly accept the money as a donation.

    Quoted from RWH:

Perhaps I'm missing a fad here (like the bedhead trend) or just a dinosaur who's out of touch but does Steven ever comb his hair? He looks so raggedy in every pic/video he's in I just don't get it.

Not a fad. Just lack of personal grooming.

    Quoted from LTG:

Is there a list of these ?
    Basement flooded need donations
    Sump Pump need donations
irritable bowel syndrome ( don't remember if that needed money )
    Open arcade/museum need donations
COVID arcade can't be open need donations
    Break Beelzeboob's Escalera need donations
Broke his dog vet bill need donations
    Tip Jar need donations
Hit by Car ? need donations
    Any missing ?
    LTG : )

I don't think he actually asked for money after he got hit by the car. Though, I think we all helped fund those bills through Medicaid.

    Quoted from Electrocute:

Most “relevant” review for Gameseum and it’s been on top of the charts for weeks!
    [quoted image][quoted image]

His reply to a paying customer explains everything you need to know about this thread. The customer didn't have an amazing experience, so Steven starts off by apologizing, but by the end of his rant he is blaming the customer for not letting him know the games were broken.

    #3551 3 years ago
    Quoted from RWH:

Steven is the project I'm just wondering how Todd figures to restore his personality.

You ever see Todd's work up close? He isn't restoring anything.
