Just call gameseam , ask for Steven. He should be able to explain everything in 10 or 12 hours .

    #3305 3 years ago

Stevie changes/removes so many of his posts after the fact in threads/forumns/facebook/etc. that many things can be missed when trying to read through things after the fact; But the jest of the problems can be gotten.

Galaga is too respectable for him.

Karma is an interesting concept. You treat others the way you would like to be treated (assuming you would like to be treated well), and it seems to work it's way back in a positive way. But when you get shady, more often than not, it seems to come back around in like as well.

I think the worst part about 'bad' Karma is waiting for it. You know you screwed someone over, and you know it's going to come back and bite you in the backside. You're always looking over your shoulder, because you know it's coming.

Anybody here ever watch the show 'Shameless'? William H. Macy's character, Frank Gallagher. There's Stevie for you in 30 years. If you've never watched the show, try the first two or three episodes.

I don't have the right to judge anyone, and one of the great things about living in the USA is that you can live any way you want to. I don't have any trouble looking in the mirror, nor do I have any trouble sleeping at night. I don't know what it's like to live the way Stevie does, but I'm not in any hurry to ever find out.

Thank goodness I will never be in a position where anything he ever does will affect me. If anyone from Pinside ever gets burned by him again, it's their own fault. They've been well warned.

I think you got it right. Thing is with the pin/arcade biz the only way anyone makes it work is with lots of help from others. Not enough money in it otherwise. Volunteers at the arcade, repair help from online forums, people chipping in in countless ways. It’s not a terribly individually self sustaining business. Most do it for the love of what it is. It’s why we are here on pinside or KLOV. We all know Stevies behavior is disingenuous and self absorbed, and for now he has found willing people around him to put up with it ... for a while. Welcomed to pinside but recognized quickly as an annoying gnat and then essentially ostracized. Likely welcomed to KLOV but I heard versions of the same thing there. Eventually, given a long enough time, you run out of people willing to hear your story and help out. That day ain’t now, probably not next week or next year. But as the behavior persists it destroys all in its path eventually leaving no one, but those burned behind. In hindsight people in his life stumbling on this thread will nod their head and say to themselves “yep, should have known”.

Read the whole thing. That’s 2 hours of my life I want back!

    Sort of happy ending though?

One thing I did take away from this was from basically starting the business from fund raisers / donations etc... NOT ONCE did I see a thank you to any one who helped out. It was just me me me. And bragging about profits in what technically should be a charity! Is just mental. I don’t think Steven is a bad person but Jesus fucking Christ he loves him self and makes some weird ass self indulgent arrogant decisions which really hurt the business (he will never see or accept this) But he did do what he said he would and it is filled with some pins so gotta give props there. Hopefully he will calm down as gets older maybe even look back and LEARN from his mistakes. Not being funny but there are some pretty smart people on this forum which give great advice (from years of personal experience) and to just ignore it all and think you know best is a bit stupid!

I still want my 2 hours back though

Oh and it would be a 3 hour read if I had actually read all the rants I had to start skipping them after I started to self harm.

    #3315 3 years ago

Ah no - he won't LEARN. Odds are he is who he is. A leopard doesn't change it's spots. A beggar, grifter and a mooch.

So I just read a story called “Sweatpants Forever” about the collapse of the fashion industry as we move to all wearing sweatpants instead. Maybe Stevie was ahead of the curve and all of us behind the times. If he knew what was good for him I see an opportunity to turn Gameseum into the Ephrata Sweatpants Company.

Why would you want to advertise that you’ve been to Ephrata?

    #3321 3 years ago

Please suppress the urge to promote sweat pants, I'd prefer women not remember such loose and form camouflauging clothing existed.

Dont ask me why but I was messing with a text re-writing bot and I took some of okatu's post and put them in the system. Here is #2027:

It's the best slot machine in the world, and no matter how successful you are, it's always a tough shot. February beats you like no other month, opens and goes, but when the door is closed in March, you can pay your bills until summer, which would be an extremely good month.

There are other arcade owners who are struggling at the moment, but most are not paying the bills because they do not yet feel ready to venture into the recreational facility. It is up to you to return to "A" or "B" to continue to enjoy the fruitful business you have built up and to welcome your valued customers back to your home. This is not the result of the company or its leadership, it is a global problem and this business is also struggling in other arcades around the world. This business has been successful in Japan for over 20 years, but not in many other countries, especially in Asia.
This is not a fruitless business, but it is a successful business that is affected by a national problem that is struggling. It is not as black and white as that, and there are a number of national problems affecting successful companies.

There are people who donate because they don't want their arcade to lose its arcade, and that makes sense. There are many people who donate for sentimental and heartfelt reasons, but they are looking for a return. I am blessed to be part of an unsuccessful company whose weight at the top has already been exhausted. This fundraiser certainly helps to ease some of the burden and we are blessed that we are able to be good enough to survive this.

    #3323 3 years ago
    Quoted from Boat:

I am blessed to be part of an unsuccessful company whose weight at the top has already been exhausted.

    Otaku bot speaks the truth!

    #3324 3 years ago

How is it less irritating coming out of the bot?

    #3325 3 years ago

When was he talking about Japan and Asia?

    Escalara Clothing Co FAQ:

    - Not owned by Stephen, Yuppicide, or anyone other than myself.
    - Old designs were made by Yuppicide. I can use them, however he kept paytheboob website name. You'll have to find him and see if he ever turns it into a porn site.
    - I made a few new designs of my own including the Escalara ESTD 2019, Ephrata, PA. That was supposed to be a joke shirt.. I'm going to start making more video game related designs soon.
    - If anyone does want merchandise, I'll gladly donate half the profits to beezleboob for the money he put out for a new escalara, and then also pay off the people who donated to him. I doubt I'll sell a lot of merchandise, but the thought is there.

...you are who, exactly? New Pinsider with his first post. Hmmm...why am I not believing that you would donate half to me and others?

I'll stay the hell away from your website, because quite frankly, I'm starting to distrust anyone that comes within 10 miles of you ninja turtles. (There is ONE I still like...)

I'm glad you're okay with profiting off my misfortune. Your parents raised you well.

EDIT: And for the love of Christ, it's spelled ESCALERA. You guys are really good at damaging it and then joking about it...you should at least know how to spell it.

And THIS is why this thread will never die. Trolling ones own thread. It’s a new super level of trolldom. You’ve unlocked the secret level.

    #3330 3 years ago

Hi Steven. I’ll buy a shirt if half the proceeds go into a fund to fix your teeth and buy you a pair of slacks.

    #3331 3 years ago

Hmmm, blocked. Perhaps an IP check revealed an Ephrata address.

Darn, I was looking forward to purchasing some wares.

Custom sweat pants available for the taking. Go beyond the cliche t-shirt and start a new arcade swag trend.

Wow Steven your arcade must be killing it if you have to sell crappy t-shirts to make money. Only a douchebag like you would think it's funny to profit off of breaking other people's stuff...

I don't think he actually asked for money after he got hit by the car. Though, I think we all helped fund those bills through Medicaid.
