Meant previous comment about larger size to go towards you. Did you get to choose which logo was on what kind of shirt?
Pacman style isn't listed in a normal mens t-shirt (that I can see).
Or do I need to email them?
Just an update: GorillaBiscuits has offered to buy the Otakuscalera provided we can come to an agreement on price. And we will. He's local, and he gets great kudos for stepping up to help me out. I'll be buying him a yuppicide shirt as part of the deal.
Zach will work with me on replacing it. I'm thinking about the forklift option...anyone have experience with that?
And I'm very excited to wear my #paytheboob shirt at the next Pinfest in 2025.

We will crumble up singles and throw them at you as you walk the aisles... seems thats the way tipping works in PA
I will be surprised if Gameseum is still open in 12 months time. There is no great power of insight here, just a general knowledge that I am unaware of a single arcade that isn’t struggling right now. I can say he made his job of keeping that place open all that much harder by burning so much good will. It is incredibly difficult to ever get that back once it’s been driven away

I doubt it will help much here but I am more than willing to loan ours out for several months if you need one. We don’t use it much now that we can forklift our games up to the second level. It not perfect but it works. Even give you the freedom to drop it down the stairs as I almost did when i forgot to change out the battery and it ran out of juice halfway up one time.
Quoted from Flowst:Ironic, or fitting?[quoted image][quoted image]
I keep envisioning a logo like flowst pointed out now....Like hazmat but with pics of pinball, arcade, sweatpants, and an escalera. And of course still need #paytheboob under it.

You should probably have a priest come over and bless it before you sell it to him just to cover your ass.
The power of boob compels you!

I have been following this story all the way back when the kid’s Grandma’s basement was flooded. Boob was nice enough to lend his Escalera to him only to receive it damaged upon return. I am tired of no good deed goes unpunished!! ZMeny i am calling you tomorrow to donate to Boob’s new Escalera!
Boob is a music teacher, my major in college, his dedication is very much appreciated. He shouldn’t have to pay for another Escalera because he did a good deed.
I usually do these type of things anonymously, but my contribution won’t be enough to cover it. I am hoping we can make this right.
Tom
Quoted from beelzeboob:So, I'm sorry to report that after 2 hours of dripping sweat and cursing (and cursing Otaku at times), I was unable to replace the chain on the Escalera. If any of you have ever had to work on your unit, you know what I'm talking about. Everything is so jammed up in there, it's almost impossible to get to the things you need to unscrew to replace the chain. So you have to remove the entire center drive unit as per Escalera's instructions...and it winds up coming out with the chain assembly on it. Then the original chain doesn't seem to have any links that come apart. All in all, I realized I was going down a path I didn't feel comfortable with, and since I have to move a jukebox this week, I couldn't afford to completely bork my machine.
I said screw it and put it back together...and that's when things went from bad to worse. To get the center drive unit back in, you have to reattach these four 1" bolts on top, and screw in the axle and jam nuts. But the four bolts would NOT go back into the holes correctly. It literally took me an hour and trying four different wrenches to get them back in. It didn't matter how I lined the holes up. They finally went back in, but at least two of the four seem to be going in on an angle. A complete nightmare, and I wasted my time because I got nothing done except grease the giant drive gear while I was in there.
So I strongly suggest if you have an Escalera, don't even bother trying to fix it yourself. Which leads me to a big question:
Who the hell is going to fix my machine now? I don't want to send the damn thing to California.
Aw that sucks. If you ever have your escalara down the east coast near charleston I'd be happy to help repair it in my shop.
Quoted from beelzeboob:I've reached out to Zach at FlipNOut to buy a new one. I'm hoping he gives me a good price considering the circumstances. I'll be selling this Otaku-blessed one with the new chain on the marketplace soon, just as soon as I can figure out a price.
Boob will they take the damaged one with parts and give you a significant discount? Steven should at the very least give you 1,500.00 for your damaged one that he can fix himself. He has an arcade so it would be more than needed in his situation not to mention he should have bought the new unit and traded you to begin with.
Quoted from Rezdog:TNT Amusements?
Smiley sure does spend a lot of time over there. Seems he likes the time in front of the camera...
This was completely predictable. And he knew exactly what he was doing—trying to find the least expensive route that had a semblance of doing the right thing. He simply was trying to extricate himself and get rid of the bad press as inexpensivley as possible. Not even close to making boob whole. Instead he has made the situation even more costly for boob.
It would be nice if this toxic pos actually did the right thing—sell one or two games, buy boob a new escalera and take the old one for himself

That would be ideal but Steven didn't even make good on the 100 bucks he said was in the mail... Pretty much can can write him off.... Mr. game messum

Wish I lived in the town where his business is I would protest out front with signs about how much of a loser he is and best of all it's legal so he can't do shit except have me protest off his personal property and across the street or anywhere near his doors would work.
Quoted from Rezdog:TNT Amusements?
I'm guessing this was a joke, but I'd never do business with Todd now that I know he's Steven's lap dog. Once you start running your mouth putting the blame on me--with ignorance to the facts and after I tried to do something nice for a stranger--you can pretty much just fuck off.
Many HUGE thanks to pookycade , Wolfmarsh , and BigT for their incredible generosity. It's appreciated more than you know!
I'll call Escalera today so they can tell me that my situation is what I suspect it is: I'd have to get it professionally done and pay for it.
Next call will be to ZMeny to discuss options for a new unit.
Third call will be to GorillaBiscuits to find out he doesn't want mine anymore. I told him he should charge admission at a future show and have people go in to see the famous Otakuscalera. That's a gold mine right there.
Quoted from beelzeboob:Many HUGE thanks to pookycade , wolfmarsh , and bigt for their incredible generosity. It's appreciated more than you know!
Nah, you are the real hero here.
I can't completely offset the costs you've incurred due to helping this kid, but you're a star in my book. If you and your wife/family ever find yourselves around Charleston it would be my pleasure to show you around and buy you some meals/drinks.
A joke indeed. I completely understand and agree with you in regards to TNT’s ill advised posts. I hear he is a good guy but he didn’t come off well in this thread.
What a nightmare the whole situation has become.
Sorry Boob, I was very afraid this was going to happen.
Truest definition of “you don’t deserve this.”
Quoted from chad:Smiley sure does spend a lot of time over there. Seems he likes the time in front of the camera...
And the pegging...
I went to buy me and GorillaBiscuits a shirt at @yuppicide's soon-to-be porn site. But paytheboob.com now redirects to Disney.com. Whats up with THAT? And what kind of porn site, exactly, are you planning on launching that its going to Disney??
I found the comments about this situation in the latest TNT video to be distasteful. It makes any apology that Steven said seem null and void. But that’s just my opinion.
...aaaand I saw that there's a cease and desist on yuppicide 's t-shirt site. So, who filed the cease and desist? Was it one of the companies you were spoofing? Or another company?
Quoted from Orko:I found the comments about this situation in the latest TNT video to be distasteful. It makes any apology that Steven said seem null and void. But that’s just my opinion.
I don't waste my time with those videos. Give it to me in a nutshell. Tell me what a horrible person I supposedly am (while I call FlipNOut to lose a few hundred bucks more buying a new Escalera).

Around the 8:30 minute mark he makes a gag about the escalara going up and down the stairs and then something about not telling him until after 3 years. And then they make it into an advertisement for Zach. Distasteful IMHO.

That's okay. I work with 12 year olds all day, so I'm used to that kind of petty crap. Besides, when I was working on the chain replacement yesterday, it occurred to me why Todd and Steven are such close friends. One likes to dump machines off the roof. The other one just dumps them down the stairs.
Keep it. Then charge for picture of the boob and escatera at shows when they fire hopefully back up next year
I have talked to Todd at shows and he seems like a very nice guy. I also enjoy watching his videos. I stopped watching after that tool opened his mouth and including him and his awkward mannerisms will be a sure way to lose views. What a shame. You can tell as he says it that it was planned and took a while for him to build up the courage to say it.
What a shame that he has weaseled his way into the TNT crew.
Not buying from TNT ever again. Haven't bought much to begin with since their prices tend on the highish side. But he decided which team he was playing for and made the wrong choice (which he will eventually figure out when the next funding crisis occurs and hat is held in hand - or should I say old sweatpants formed into a napsack).
Todd and his wife are wonderful, helpful people. Sad to see he won't stay out of this issue.
For whatever it is worth, I also left a comment on the latest TNT video but kept it short and polite.

Unfortunately I don’t think Todd likely realizes he will eventually be taken here. I hope someone else around him is dispassionate and distanced enough to see this situation for what it is and protect him.

Edit: clarification that the below refers to both Todd of TNT and Steven of Gameseum :
What an unprofessional shit ass comment.
Between the lack of respect, inconceivable ignorance/arrogance, and the plain stupidity of repeatedly not wearing masks, etc. I can't watch his videos any more.
I already couldn't watch ones with oldtaco in them. Now I don't believe i have interest in purchasing future books, swag, or even purchasing parts via facebook, pinside, klov, etc as I had done from TNT in the past.
I don't like doing business with someone who acts so inappropriately.
I REALLY don't understand what someone like Steven is doing in so many videos anyway. Is it Todd's charity case or something???
Quoted from Ericc123:That is disgraceful. I thumbed down the video and made a comment letting him know why.
Could you post the video in question?
I think one of the reasons Steven is so frustrating to many of us is that he is CLEARLY passionate about pinball. He loves it. But somehow his love for the hobby doesn't translate into even decency for the hobbyists.
I would imagine that passion for pinball is what swayed Todd to his side. I do not understand why someone would potentially jeopardize their business to support Steven.
I do not think I can ever use Otaku again. He will now be Old Taco to me! Hilarious post Pacmanretro!
I wrote cease and desist because I thought it was funny. I was asked nicely to remove the site so I did. Eventually I may do something with it equally as stupid.

I've no idea what escalara is/was. I googled and got an image of a Mexicanc holding a staircase. I only know people have mentioned it multiple times.

Escalera means stairs....
and stairs + oldtaco = No Bueno
Made a quick Scumbag Steven image for memes. Just upload to https://imgflip.com/memegenerator and have fun!
Scumbag-Steve.jpgAlways watched and enjoyed Todd's videos but after watching that it will be my last. Tasteless and juvenile skit to say the least.

I removed my subscription for TNT on Youtube. I used to like Todd. But now apparently he has decided to be tasteless and back a buffoon.
Quoted from tslayer71:Fitting that Steven is wearing a mask, being the crook that he is.....
What did the L on his shirt stand for?
