I’m a fan of “Fuck you, have you tried Galaga?”.

    #902 4 years ago

    Steven, listen to @goatdan.

    #903 4 years ago
    Quoted from Dooskie:

And just for the hell of it, I sent my attorney an email this afternoon. I'm having him check first thing in the morning to see of 'Gameseum' is available for trademark. If it isn't, it was worth paying him $60 for 10 minutes of his time. If it is available, Steve, bidding starts at $5,000 for the name. And if you do not own the trademark, my attorney will be contacting you to remove ALL of your signage at your location, along with every single reference to 'Gameseum' on your social media.
You need to take this very very seriously pal.

So what is the update on this?

Looks like Otaku is curious too. Seems he logged back on today.

Well, at least one of the accounts has to keep up on a site full of conversation he says he doesn't care about (when not threatening joke leagal actions).

I liked when he said he was "shutting it down early" like he had some sort of authority, kind of like the baywatch guy and his picture. Next he will be asking for our full name and address so he can send us a C & D.

    It needs a graphic.
Perhaps a large leg bolt below the font.

Gameseum - Customers, please stop staying too long.

    #913 4 years ago

Gameseum - One time, these games were under water in my grandmas basement. Enjoy the mold.

    #914 4 years ago

Doesn't matter if it's one or two bolts, there is no doubt this thread has legs now!

    #915 4 years ago
    Quoted from poppapin:

    How about "Gameseum, It's Immamaculate!!"

    It's "Imamaculate"
    Actually, nearly imamaculate.

    Quoted from Boat:

Doesn't matter if it's one or two bolts, there is no doubt this thread has legs now!

I don't feel great about equating this dumpster fire to one of the greatest threads of all time.

    #916 4 years ago

Gameseum, come for the games, stay for the cease and desist order.

I think Otaku is a toolbag of massive proportions but maybe concentrate less on his appearance and more on his abhorrent behaviour. There's plenty of meat on that bone without resorting to sweatpants shaming.

    #921 4 years ago

Gameseum - We don’t need no stinkin’ leg bolts

Okay, I’m still rooting for the kid to make it...but this is some funny shit!

I've got nothing against his appearance and agree it's a cheap shot to make digs, as last I checked this hobby isn't exactly overrun by supermodels. He has the rugged good looks of a golden age Western actor, and the flowing, golden hair of a mythic Greek Adonis.

But the filthy, ratty sweatpants which I first had the pleasure of seeing at Allentown a couple years back remain worthy of shaming. They don't suit the founder, proprietor, and face of a successful business. It blows my mind that with all the free press he's been able to drum up - an achievement that continues to impress me with each and every news piece or web story - that he refuses to wear pants or otherwise even attempt to portray himself as anything but a total slob when the cameras and the customers are around.

It reflects badly on his business and it reflects badly on all of us. This isn't doing us any favors in trying to get people to take our weird little hobby seriously.

Please Steven. Get some pants. I've already offered to buy them for you. Do it for yourself. Do it for your business. Do it for all of us.

They had an error. Refresh in a month
Love you guys. Thanks for caring so much about me.
My custom embroidered sweatpants with "JodyG" on them are about to arrive. They were expensive... but I'm making several grand per weekend, Kisses xx

According to his Facebook, he had 1866 paid customers last month. Interesting. You know who else may find that interesting? PA tax and revenue. Inflating numbers publicly.....never a good idea. Anyways. I suppose you’ll be reimbursing all the GoFundMe supporters now.

He better be refunding every last person....it would be a shame if the IRS audited him and his admission numbers didn't match the books.

Gameseum - Bringing you the authentic 80s arcade experience that never existed in the 80s.

    Better proofread that

    #950 4 years ago

So 1866 times $10 is $18,660 which is the shortest pass avail according to his website. But he said all day passes outnumber the shortest so at least 934 of them are at $25 ea, or $23,350. Plus the 932 at $10, or $9320. Added together we get $32,670, at least. So we’re to believe he made at least $32k in a month but can’t fix his flippers, buy legbolts, or a pair of pants?! B.s.
But I’m sure the state of PA will enjoy that check for 6% sales tax of $1960 for last month!
