F-14 is the only other game next to Pinbot I know of where I can drain all 3 balls in a matter of minutes. Name some other brutal games. Freakin' F14, love it and hate it at the same time.

Eightball Deluxe, mine is brutal! I love it. True pinball at its finest!

#3 9 years ago

a fast playing funhouse can kick you in the nutz!

#5 9 years ago

2nd EBD. Lots of house balls, and not too many truly safe shots.

#6 9 years ago

Non-working pinball on route. Man, those are some SHORT ball times

#7 9 years ago

Crescendo. I think 50% of all balls plunged are house balls... two of the five lanes at the top of the playfield are sucker lanes...you go there and you DIE stdtmfm with huge flipper gap...

My Bsd and fish tales are ridiculous lol but so much fun when u do have a good ball tho

#9 9 years ago

Majorettes .

#10 9 years ago

Pin*bot. In a Quick game you might even get to use the left flipper.

My shortest ball time game is Flash Gordon. Punishing game, even a perfect shot that you meant to make can drain.

#13 9 years ago

Big Daddy. "Say by by to that little steel ball"

#14 9 years ago

Usually the one I am playing

#15 9 years ago

What does it say about me that I own two Flash Gordon and a Pinbot?

#16 9 years ago

DM can go quick...alot!

#17 9 years ago

Mario Andretti gives guaranteed play time of two minutes.
Because it is so fast!

#18 9 years ago

Any machine with a ball save feature should not even be mentioned.

Not sure if yours does this, but mine at least 50% of the time goes sdtm after hitting the 8 ball drop.

Whirlwind, Ironman

Scoregasm

Bsd,tom,fh

Another vote for BSD

#26 9 years ago

I think BSD would be a much different animal with normal flippers on it. The funniest part of Pinbot is that it has the center rebound pin between the flippers solely as a tease because you're never going to drain a ball anywhere but the outlanes.

Ball savers, kickbacks, gates etc. are added where the designer may feel ball times are too short.
Mario Andretti has all of them and still I run into the gift of guaranteed two minutes of playtime.

#28 9 years ago

My vote would be F14 Tomcat.

#29 9 years ago

BSD indeed!

I prefer games where the designers didn't worry about those things. I have a few...

Yes BSD always kicks my ass on location.

Here's my list of short ball-time games... (minus Barracora)

Centaur has some long ball times if you start getting the chain reaction multi-ball going.

#35 9 years ago

Data east Simpsons = drain monster

#36 9 years ago

Apollo 13. "Three... two... one... BLASTOFF!!" *cachink cachink cachink clack clack flip flip flip cachink flip pop pop flip pop click clack clack* "JACKPOT!!" *flip flip pop bonk boink bang clink clink drain drain drain drain drain flip drain drain drain pop pow drain drain drain flip flap drain drain*

"Gentlemen, it's been a privilege flying with you."

Yeah, I'd put Black Hole and Fathom at the top of that list.

Sorcerer and gorgar.

#39 9 years ago

Majorettes. When you get to play one you'll understand. Great game..... really hard to master.

Whirlwind and Metallica

Definitely Data East Simpsons as crlush said. Also Q*Bert's Quest is pretty bad due to the funky layout and flipper positions.

Sad to think we don't really see hit games with crazy ass trippy themes anymore like qbert and dig dug. Everything is so serious for the most part. They went from creativity due to the limiting factors of the hardware all the way to the opposite of doing something just because they can.

The last game I can think of that I thought was an amazing idea and ridiculously trippy fun theme that also did well was Katamari Damacy. Freaking love that game.

#44 9 years ago

My vote is MGOW

#45 9 years ago

Gorgar. Me beat you.

#46 9 years ago

Whirlwind comes to mind. Also any number of EMs, since it sometimes seems like you are at the mercy of the machine regardless of how you play. Flying Carpet, Flash Gordon, and Argosy come to mind.

Funny how no EMs are mentioned, yet there are many that have ball times WAY shorter than many of the pins being mentioned in this thread, including BSD and IM.

Oh, they get mentioned. But sometimes they get ignored. What was your longest ball time on Big Daddy, Rob? We count those in micro-seconds.
