I finally finished making the sign for my gameroom. It's about 12" wide, made from solid aluminum and CNC routed. I painted the design with a white basecoat and 2 coats of a color called Stoplight red metallic. I think it looks pretty cool. At least it's not something that you can buy off of the shelf at Hobby Lobby. Enjoy.....

All that I have left to do is buff and shine the aluminum then clearcoat it.

This is the finished product. Buffed, shined, and clear coated.

Funny, I restored one of these a few months ago for a friend. The plate had not been coated with anything prior, and was used at the bar to poor drinks on. Over time, I had gotten somewhat ugly. To clean up the peace, I went at it with a wire brush to clean up the grooves, then used a scuff pad to remove the scale. My original intent was to just paint it black, but decide an engine turn like finish would be better. I used a scuff pad on a DA and went at the surface randomly to achieve the desired effect.

I did not make them. I got mine from someone in the Twin Cities that made them, but I don't have their name. Sorry.
