Do you need hot water for a toilet and sink? Its the soap that kills the germs not the temperature of the water.

    Quoted from f3honda4me:

That looks perfect for the draining! But it doesn't solve my hot water supply problem.

It was just for the wet bar sink. I was thinking it would be for hand washing the dishes down in the bar area.

edit: Ok I think we don't need hot water. So, with the sanivite I think we can do a sink!

Need to start our bar next weekend. Also have to replace our water heater. Thinking of going tankless natural gas water heater.

We purchased our current house three years ago and it has a tankless water heater and I must say, I'm a huge fan. Our house was built in 2005 and I just replaced the original unit a couple of months ago so they seem to last a decent amount of time. Our replacement cost us $1,800 installed (and that was for the "cheap" one) so it comes at a cost but we have endless hot water now! We're planning on moving in the next year or two and I imagine we'll end up installing a tankless if one isn't already there.

Room is looking great by the way! Been following since you started posting!

I’ve thought about tankless, but cost of entry is high and my 20 year old tanks (two in attic) are still working perfectly.

Ordered cabinets and countertop and bar top. Now we just have to wait about 2 weeks for them to arrive at Menards for pickup. We've never installed cabinets and countertops before, but doesn't seem like it would be super difficult, should figure it out ok. We just went with laminate countertop and bar.

Also picking up a small 10cu ft. fridge/freezer for this room. Eventually we may install a sink, but we'll have to decide if the cost is worth it or not.
