    Hey Everyone,

I haven't been posting here every time we release an episode, but figured I'd start a single thread and just update it for each release instead of littering the forum with a new post each time. That said, I just wanted to let folks who may not know that our 2013 Holiday Episode is now available for download completely free. http://gameroomjunkies.com/index.php/2013/12/14/podcast-episode-33-2013-holiday-edition/

There are some other GREAT pinball podcasts around and we like them all (Spooky, Pinball Podcast, Coast 2 Coast, and Pinball Soul), but just wanted to remind you guys that we still exist and have been releasing (almost) monthly episodes for over three years now. Each of us has our own flavor and unique vibe, so there's plenty of room for everybody. So if you like arcade, pinball, and gameroom talk, be sure to check us out and subscribe to us on iTunes, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Episode 34 went live a couple days ago and I forgot to post about it on Pinside. Go check it out. There's some great talk about collecting in general including some of the regrets we have after years of collecting that you can hopefully avoid. Also, we talk about a warehouse raid we participated in, and have a few cool interviews. This one is admittedly a bit less pin-heavy, but it's still a great show for coin-op collectors. Give it a shot! Thanks!

Join us for Episode 35 as we talk to Charlie from Spooky Pinball, LLC about what it's like to go from hobbyist to manufacturer. We also answer listener mail, Preston talks about his trip to JAX arcade expo, the GA state pinball championships, and we have a short interview with tournament director and Free Play Florida organizer Donny White. Also, we try to answer the question, "when is a collection complete?" (Hint: TL;DR: NEVER!!!!) Hope you enjoy the show!

Still going strong, we've beefed this episode up with even MORE pinball talk! Preston’s back from the Louisville Arcade Expo with a trip report and an interview with pinball designer John Trudeau. We talk shop for a while before another interview, this time with the head of Jersey Jack Pinball, Jack Guarnieri. Junk Drawer is a new segment for the show filled with random questions we couldn’t fit elsewhere. In this episode we also pay tribute to a fallen podcaster, Steve Rothschild. Join us for another action-packed episode of the Gameroom Junkies Podcast, all brought to you this month by our new sponsor, HSA Pinball!

Been listening to you guys for a long time...great fun. Sometimes I wish I could join in....I'm a veteran in the game biz and sometimes I wish I could jump in when you need "help" with information on older games. Keep up the good work...you have a nice repoire with each other and I really enjoy listening to you guys.

Glad you guys are back with a new episode.

    #9 5 years ago

Thanks for the kind words, guys. As you can hear in the episode, we had some assistance with content from some fine folks in our listener base. That always makes things better!

Pinball4life: I wish you could jump in there when we stumble on the details of those older games too!

Ok, so I skipped a few reminders, but here we are fresh off of running the Southern-Fried Gameroom Expo. Want to know what it was like running a world-class event? Find out in part 1 of our podcast:

I usually have no interest in video games but the panel discussion with the VP of Namco that you included in the podcast was great. He was an open book on the business side of operating vids and pins - certainly different than the secretive Stern. Thanks for a great show and podcast!

Correct on the "world-class event,'" which it certainly was. I hope you guys earn a whole new legion of fans as a result.

Who's ready for round two? I know, I know...settle down. Yes, we released two episodes in less than a month for the first time in ever. How could we not? There's so much to talk about regarding the fun at the Southern-Fried Gameroom Expo. Plus, this episode features a lengthy interview with Mr. Billy Mitchell. So here's episode 40, yes FORTY!! Enjoy!

Released episode 41 a few days ago, but forgot to bump this thread. In this one we finish our talk about running SFGE and end the podcast with a great double interview featuring the talented Barry Oursler and John Trudeau! Check it out!

Released episode 42 last week, and as always, I forgot to bump this thread. In this one we have plenty of pinball talk, but we also have a lengthy interview with the author of "The Final Day at Westfield Arcade" which is an ode to the golden age of arcades. Also, we get a drop-in visit from Whitney at Broken Token Podcast. Lots of fun ahead!

HOLY SCHNEIKES! Can you say neglected thread? Don't worry, your 8th-favorite pinball related podcast is still up and at 'em and has been even though I forgot to update this thread.

We're currently up to episode #58, but of particular interest to you all may be our previous episode (#57) for our trip to IAAPA 2015. The episode features the rundown on some of the newest coin-op games and interviews with the executive VP of NAMCO and head of Stern Pinball himself, Gary Stern. Check it out and don't forget to subscribe to our podcast on iTunes!

Also, we've recently started regularly posting to our YouTube channel. You can subscribe to it here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI8RPt-HSo2eThcuyg5lTog Here's one of my personal gameroom that I added just over a week ago to give you an idea:

Thanks to all of you who have stuck with us, and for those of you who may have abandoned us, give us another shot! Thanks, everyone!

Per the usual, here's a day late and a dollar short update for Episode #59 from last month! In this one we talk about Spider-Man Vault edition, Dr. Who Kickstarter, Rob Zombie, and each give our top 5 alien-themed arcade game. Fun stuff!

Oh yeah, and today we released a new video of Patrick showing off the slick Gottlieb Genesis which won "Best in Show" at last year's Southern-Fried Gameroom Expo. Check it out!

Is there a way to save the podcast directly without steaming it? Your older podcast had a download link that I haven't seen on the last few podcasts. I like to download my podcasts to an SD card that I put in car and listen to them when I'm driving.
