Hi, I'm trying to repair a corroded MPU-1 from a star trip I picked up. I've read on pinballrepair.com that it's possible to replace the entire reset section of the board with a single Dallas DS1811 or MicroChip MCP101. Unfortunately this guide is for the MPU-2. He mentions that modding the MPU-1 should be similar but to check schematics. Unfortunately I am REALLY not good at interpreting schematics. Supposedly it's a fairly popular mod so I was hoping to maybe find someone who has modded an MPU-1 In this way that might be able to tell me the differences? Not looking forward to repairing all those traces on the reset section if I can't figure this out.
