Hello guys, I've re-installed the CPU on my CFBL yesterday after replacing the connectors for cabinet switches. Now the game start (I hear the single "bong" sound and could play games) but the DMD shows no signs of life. I have reseated the connectors multiple times but with no luck..it worked flawlessly before..any idea on what to do? I share some pics, maybe I forgot something..

Same problem 2 days ago. It was a blown fuse. Check F115

blown fuse

Argh you beat me to it haha

I don't think it's causing an issue with your display, but the ribbon cable on connect J211 is on backwards. Red stripe should be pin 1. Given that, I'd check all of your ribbon cables to make sure that they are put on correctly, with the red stripe side being pin 1.

I have checked the fuses (f115 included) and they are good! Checked ribbon cables and reverted j211 to get all the red stripe on pin 1. Still the display stays black.. I have tested the voltages on the display and these are the readings:

Pin 1: 95,7
Pin 2: 96,3
Pin 4: 0
Pin 5: 0
Pin 6: 4,96
Pin 7: 12,5
Pin 8: 64,9

Any thought?? Thanks!!

UPDATE

I have tested the voltage directly on the board and the values on pin 1 and 2 change:

Pin 1: 119,9
Pin 2: 96,9
Pin 4: 0
Pin 5: 0
Pin 6: 4,96
Pin 7: 12,5
Pin 8: 63,5

Tested the suspected dmd display on my Dracula and it works flawlessly.
I have to suspect DMD board?

Since this started after re-installing your CPU board, I would start there.

I would try the easy stuff first:
- flip over the ribbon cable going to the DMD on both ends (or replace it with the one from BSD), I know technically the red strip is supposed to be on pin one but all that matters is its orientated the same on both ends.
- do the same with your ribbon cable between J201 and J602
- Swap the CPU from your BSD into CFTBL to rule out the CPU board.

Good luck!

I would like to do more tests on BSD but after the dmd swap now I have problems on this one too D: it is continually blowing F114 on startup.. damn how unlucky I am!!!

I think you are very lucky as every game on my wishlist is in your collection.

Swapping the DMD should not have caused this as F114 is your 18V lamp power...perhaps a wire got pinched and is shorting to ground?

Thank you! You have a great collection too

Anyway according to pinwiki, this f114 issue could be related to br2, i have to take the board down and do some test..i will keep you informed!!
