So I cleaned out a vacant spare room in the house with intentions of turning it into a pinball paradise. I'm looking for some inspiration for the game room decor - anybody got any game room ideas, pics, or links to share? !

I'm going classy. My next one will be all crown molding, wood, wainescoting, sconces, brandy, fireplace, wallpaper...that kind of action. Hopefully they'll be a utility sink there also because I can't be bothered to go all the way upstairs for a bathroom break.

lol. Nothing exudes class more than a piss sink. ???

My rec room is constantly evolving. It will be quite some time before its a pinball paradise....but they didn't build Rome overnight!

I'm fortunate to have a walkout basement that is fully finished.....and has a bathroom.

I started out very modest. The first thing that went in my rec room was a bar and a neon beer light. I don't drink, but a bar in a rec room lends itself to a certain ambiance. Then, an electronic dart machine. More beer lights. Then came the first pin. A ball bowler. A shuffle alley. A 2nd pin. And 3rd pin. A 2nd ball bowler. Another pin. The dart machine left. As did the shuffle alley.

Now, that 3rd bedroom in my basement has a pin residing within it. More will follow.

I've came to the conclusion that games will come & go. Décor will evolve as well. There is no such thing as wrong if its a place where you & friends can gather & share some fun times.

I'm a fan of blacking out the room. Black painted walls and or painted black cieling. Here is a pinsiders room (DrEvil) I think it's done very well.

Figure out how many pins you can fit first, and don't kid yourself that you won't fill that room with every once of as many machines possible.

awesome! thanks for the leads guys! 4 pins is all that I can fit currently, which actually works out well for the wallet.

That's nice TaylorVA. And DanQ's right...epic gameroom thread has all kinds of great ideas. If I had a finished space I would go for the vegas casino look myself. The good thing is I don't have to worry about damaging floors or walls in my place. Just like I don't have to worry about scratching my beat up car.

    So 5, possibly 6, gotcha

You will get more creative with space than you can imagine.

If you have kids do not put a bar in. Instead put a small hightop table and 4 chairs so family and guests can hang out at in between games.
