Added this NES Bang gun by Dan Burfield, aka Tiltcycle.
I had recently renovate my game room. I have used all my favorite game posters.
Have a look at my posters:
Here is a bit of a tribute to some cool EM arcades that I made for my gameroom. While I do own 1-2 of these types of games, my focus is on pinballs. But I am fond of these games and love the artwork and overall 70's vibe. So I made prints of my favorite flyers and mounted them to my gameroom door.
Much cheaper ($20) and takes up less room (none) !!
For anyone wanting to do something like this. Here are some tips on how I did it.
- downloaded select flyers from http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/
- decided on 8x10 prints
- used free GIMP program to tweak dimensions:
. image . . . canvas size
. calculate new width as pixel height x 0.8
. enter new width
. choose center, all layers
. this made the image a bit wider than the artwork
- used GIMP program to color fill new side margins:
. use color picker tool to choose nearby color
. bucket fill that color into new L, R margins
- used GIMP program to export as JPG.
- order prints from www.http://sharpprints.com
. 8x10 matte
. each print came exactly 8x10 with no white borders
. cost $20 = ($0.78 each x 15) + $9 shipping
- cut paper strips to represent needed spacing
- taped strips to door as needed
- spray adhesive applied to back of each print
- stuck to door; if careful you can reposition as you mount them if needed
- drink a beer

You can't beat this. It's Bon Scott looking over LTBR No.67.. . the best band in the world ever(AC/DC). One of the best (most exciting) pinnys ever. And on this pin I have the highest score on Pinside(maybe the world - nearly 3 billion - 3 balls).
The artwork I submit is the poster for the Bon Scott Celebration Concert in Perth WA Oz. Lovely.
Because it sits over this pin I think its the best.
Lots of great art and cool items. One thing I did is take an old front and lit it up, added some legs and an old coin door. I have a translite that's not perfect that I'm going to put on top of it too. Just need to make some room to put it somewhere.
I wanted something different so I powder coated an out of service propeller and fitted it with leds.
Thanks ChrisS, it was a lot of work but it came out cool in the end. It weighs about a 100 pounds and i hurt my back getting it to its final resting place but it makes a great light when we are watching movies with the other lights off.
