I don't have much room for art on the walls...the pins are pretty much all the art that I have room for!

A little bit of everything -
Coke sign (hey, I'm in Atlanta)Tshirts from the Peachtree Road Race, half and full marathons, olympic volunteer uniform shirts, my old rugby numbers because the jerseys didn't survive, movie posters, backglasses, framed old pin calendars, a flag from the Sturgis Rally, tickets to sporting events and shows, pinball flyers and posters from pin shows, some of my old hockey stuff, a pinball themed tie, some star trek stuff, a pinball wizard, memorable beer bottles, and for reasons I don't fully understand, a collection of skulls.gameroom 2-517.JPG

Question on blacklight posters....how did you frame them? I just picked up a Stern Wizard blacklight autographed by Dirty Donnie. I have read that putting them in glass will decrease or eliminate the blacklight effect.

    Any advice is appreciated!

Yes, they are originals. I think the Family Dog is a second printing.

This is my (home) office, pins are in the garage so not the "game room", but my Abra Ca Dabra is in here, so I'm calling it close enough. Framed Mondo prints.

Hey I used to have a bunch of M.U.S.C.L.E. men when I was a kid. The last time I seen any of them was when I got my Lego's out for my kids. I think they're a few in there still. I'll have to look.

Mine are cold press mounted on foam board and framed. My framer used normal plate glass. The prints fluoresce as bright as a plasma tv. I would imagine that using museum quality UV coated glass would be a problem.

Keep in mind, the UV rays have to pass thru the glass walls of the fluorescent tube to begin with. So plain glass shouldn't be an issue.

They used to command insane prices on ebay a couple years back, but it seems demand and interest went way down so now you can get them for a reasonable price, we are talking about little rubber men, and really the last thing I need is another expensive hobby. I really like them from an artwork standpoint, some are just super bizzare. My favorite I have is a guy with a urinal built into him. Doesn't get much more random than that.

Glass has a high impurity factor (iron) If you look at the edge of it you can even see green, this is blocking your UV.... Answer? low iron, or star fire.

Hey Silverunicorn. I love that Budweiser sign with the little movable letters. Anyone know the term for that kind of sign, like if I wanted to look them up on Ebay? Letter sign gives too many result.

Most you will find many listed as "menu boards". That's what they were often used for in many diners and drive-ins.

    #39 4 years ago

What FullTilt said. Look up "Menu Board"

Almost bought a menu board several times, as I thought it would be a great way to keep track of high scores on EMs. They seem to pop up in flea market stores around here pretty often...but that was when my room was EM heavy. Sadly, I'm EM poor right now.

Game room is small so not a lot of wall space. I have a ton of wall space in my work shop. The posters are sign. The horse came from a 1950's boardwalk game where you would roll the ball into holes and the horses would race to the finish line.

I don't have a lot of wall space. Small room taken up by pins. Just framed flyers for the games I have and a poster of CONUS night-time DMSP satellite imagery.
