Theatre of Magic
Bally, 1995Hi guys I have just rebuilt a Theater of magic. Everything tests perfect in test start the game and as soon as you press the left flipper it resets the game.
Under the playfield lots of parts were removed and rebuilt. Top side of playfield 100% rebuild. Head was off.
Suspect that I have a plug wrong somewhere but have checked and rechecked.
Any suggestions

Review the wiring to the flipper coil.
Sounds like a classic reset due to flipper coil diodes incorrectly installed or missing.

If the game plays okay without the left flipper. And the left flipper is wired right and no coil lugs shorting to anything. Go over the reset list.

Or even a broken flipper coil diode. Have to try and see if you can pull up one end of each of the 2 diodes on the flipper coil .
