I picked up a nice Pinball Lizard. I am going to strip the pf and level the inserts but have a question about the pf. In the picture with the blue arrow it appears that there was a post or something on the pf at that location. Some pf pictures online show that the rubber actually protrudes out a bit at that location perhaps indicating that a post or something was there. Other pics do not show that. Can someone confirm what should or should not be at that location on the pf?

Thanks

I believe that at one time there might have been a metal pin that had a flared base that was mounted at that spot.
The pin should be exposed to the ball hits, and not the rubber ring.
It acts like a baffle for the ball so that it could go into the eject hole.
Andromeda had a pin at the upper left lane in order to baffle the ball into the eject hole.
I'm assuming that it is the same setup.

Thank you for the reply. Any thoughts on a good substitute post?

A hardened metal pin.
Try Gottlieb's
A-10542...
May need to use a drop of "supper glue" in the playfield hole.
