Good evening All,

First off, thanks to everyone who has offered assistance. It has been a huge help and I am getting closer to solving my problem.

Currently, I have a Gottlieb 300 that is energizing the Game Over relay, but the signal is not transferring to the Start relay. If I push down on the Start tab...the game will start.

In addition, I have cleaned all contacts with a file.

Don't know what the "Start tab" is.

Sorry but that was a mistake. Only fix what's broken until you have a lot more experience. This forum is filled with posts from people who caused more problems than they fixed by shotgun "repairs".

So the start button on the door doesn't start a game, but moving the actuator plate on the S (Start) relay starts a game?

#4 6 years ago

It likely involves your Replay Button relay and/or the sequence that leads up to it. Do you have a good schematic scan you can post?

#5 6 years ago

Yes, its the Start actuator plate that I push.

I will post the schematic tomight...hang on.

Does the Replay button activate the (V) Replay Button relay? If not, diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires.

Are there credits on the machine?

#8 6 years ago

No credits on the machine...

The replay will sometimes activate the replay, maybe one out of ten times...

Essentially, when I start the machine it automatically says "Tilt", and you can hear the Game Over Relay buzzing like crazy. I then puish the Start actuator plate and then game starts perfectly fine.

Please see attached schematics

OP, did you ever find a solution to this? I am having a similar issue.

This is exactly the issue I'm having. Activating the start relay manually will start the game. However, when I press the start button, the stepper in the backbox keeps advancing and won't stop.
