The designer is like the executive producer - he isn't always in the weeds of the implementation. Classically the designer is more about the game's physical layout, physics, and overall direction and leadership... while the software programmers are more the rules guys.

Plus, the man is probably going over hundreds and hundreds of choices in the game... you can't memorize them all while trying to push through it all of getting a game out the door. And don't discount if Steve heard the question clearly or not...

Marketing - I guess he's taking the angle of it's your job to be obnoxious and a douche to do the networking and pompous thing.

It comes with the territory... he's not the only one with that kind of personality in that space.

Or the comments like "*I* will license..." or talking about what hobnobbing he's done. I deal with these folks all the time... its formula and predictable. You have to be self-pontificating in those circles as its their job to sell themselves. Just like Jared rubs people wrong when he's going on about his activities... his life IS promoting... they just can't help themselves and end up conditioning all their interactions into that formula.

wow... unwatchable. The audio is overriding it like crazy making the sound useless.. and the PF video shot is only like 15% of the video window. We need to see the game people!
