Quoted from kaneda:

Don't ever compare GOT to LOTR again. Thank you.

No problem 30 minute ball times are not that fun anyways and the movies are just a bunch of walking around. You never even get to see the major bad guy just an eye.

Quoted from capguntrooper:

Any difference between the Stern shaker and pinball life shaker? I have a pinball life shaker on my KISS LE and it plays great, just wondering if Sterns is better or the same

In my opion the pinball life shaker is a better choice because it has a metal bar that goes across the top of the shaker that you can tighten that eliminates any loud jackhammer ing sound you might get from the shaker motor being unbalanced.

Quoted from Banker:

My LE has an issue with the VUK (elevator ) sending the ball to the upper ramp leading to the throne. It actually has 8 screws penetrating the inside about 1/8 or an inch. Maybe this isn't the issue , as it attempts 15-20 times , but it will surely destroy the balls. Any thoughts?

Sorry to hear that. Call Stern technical support they are very good I am sure they will tell you how to fix your issue but I thought Stern play tested these pins. This really makes me question my LE order. Maybe buying used and dialed in is the way to go who knows. Maybe I'll just start playing PC games again it would be a hell of a lot cheaper.

Quoted from beelzeboob:

I don't have mystery shot problems. But I do hit the little pop-up guard in front of the ramp and have it not move at all from time to time. Don't know what that's about.

This same thing happened on my Star Trek LE on the drop down target in front of the ship. I fixed the promblem by making the spring more powerful / tighter by moving the spring down about six loops. This fixed the viagra drop target for me. Or you can install a stronger spring on the drop target that could work too. Maybe stern did not install a spring with enough power.

See you soon .

What do the coils in the back box do? A hardware knocker would be to good to be true.

Thanks, good to know it is not a system problem. I'll check connections.

Were you able to fix this?

I took off the mini playfield to see why I could not make the left loop and that part was easy,so all of you that are concerned that the removal of it is a pain rest assured it is not,but I could not really see why the ball does not make it all the way around,it just is not a smooth track around to the right ball gate and the ball just fall into the pops.am I the only one who is having a hard time making the left loop?
The gate does open for a left orbit shot, that is a fact

I played an LE on location and the ball would not make it all the way around the left orbit. Is their a fix for this?

The left orbit shot on all of the GOTLE game play videos that I have watched and the GOTLE I have played on route the ball does not make a complete loop from the left orbit like it is designed to. All of the pros I have played the ball goes the whole way around when it is exposed to. Can anybody that owns a GOTLE let me know if their game works like it is intended?

I even asked Steve Richie about the situation and he gave me some tips on the how to fix it. The tips are below.

1. Check the wires running to the electric gates. On some games, the wires were too long and can actually interfere with the ball. Pull the slack out behind the back panel, if there is any.

2. Remove the upper playfield, (it's not that difficult, go to pinside.com and there is a tutorial about removing it), and see what causes the ball to stop at the jets. You may not have to remove the upper playfield if you can watch/see what the ball does when it passes the horizontal blade diverter that opens up to let the ball into the Elevator. It has mounting screws under the playfield that can be loosened and the unit moved fore and aft a bit. I would try this before removing the upper playfield. It may be the culprit.

3. Don't forget to shoot balls through LEFT and RIGHT orbits after making a position adjustment to the diverter. It is possible to screw up the right orbit action with a radical adjustment.

Can anybody let me know if this issue is fixable on their GOTLE? Thanks.

Quoted from rockrand:

I worked on the orbit issue for hours and removed the mini playfield twice to trouble shoot it,even removed the post rubbers capgun was referring to with no luck,I am really good at getting games to work as designed and am stumped on this one, just not a smooth track through the orbit

Dam it did you try to adjust the diverter?

Quoted from scasey:

I don't have any issues with my left orbit shot and I have the stock rubbers installed.

Video please.

I will try to take a video of this today and upload it.

Thank you please do.

NEW ISSUE!
EVERYONE CHECK YOUR BATTERING RAM! I noticed some black shavings and saw that the top left screw is scraping the battering ram. It is an easy fix you just need to add a washer, but if you have not done so your ram may be damaged and need replacing. Let me know if this is just my machine or its others.

That is what could be causing the battering ram not registering hits all the time.

I for see a jumper harness being mailed out to early LE owners, much like Xmen LE

Does this GI flicker when the flipper buttons are pressed happening on all of the GOTLE's? Has any buddy found a fix for this?

#1001 7 years ago
Quoted from capguntrooper:

It happens on all GOT games and there are no fixes for it yet. My guess would be to say they fix it like they did with left orbit and say "it is supposed to be like that by design" or they do a code update and throw that in the wording. IMO, the entire CQ team at Stern should be let go because of the completely blatant flaws of the machine, who the heck knows what sort of long term effect this will have on the machine. With all the mods and fit fixes I have had to do with my machine, mine may outlast most others not because of that bit because it is laying dormant while I am deployed...... Lol

Someone else posted that this flickering from the GI was so 1980 or system 11. Maybe one of the guys that have been at this for awhile can chime in and provide a fix. Still enjoying the game tho no doubt but would like it to function perfectly or close too it for the money we all are paying. I am not going to let it diminish my enjoyment of the game tho but is it a keeper after I get to the Iron Throne mode as it stands now no. Can Dwight pull I Lyman and make it a classic? That remains to be seen but Dwight has said he is as good as Lyman let's see if he can save this title like Lyman did with TWD. I say save because the LE's are not even sold out yet on GOT.
