GoT newbie question. Thinking of buying and I am finding this thread very interesting.

That ball diverter opens up so the right orbit shot can travel to the VUK to the upper pf and the throne? Are there times when the right orbit should send the ball to the pops? Or should all orbit shots, left or right, travel all the way?

So, just catching myself up on this topic. I see that adjusting the diverter arm in slightly also aids the orbit shot. I am assuming nobody has noticed this negatively effecting their right orbit shots?

Also wondering, since Steve Ritchie has announced that a fix is on the way, if anybody just receiving their games, or about to receive their games, should leave their diverter arm alone until Stern's fix is issued?

Quoted from Leachdude:

Yes adjusting the arm by moving the whole bracket towards the player helps a lot. I am not using a divertor sheild fix. I made 24 of 25 during my test. Just had to remove the bracket and slot out the hole a bit, no need to remove upper playfield.

Thanks for the reply, but I got all that from reading the thread. What I was curious about was the rest of my post.

Quoted from 85vett:

Right now I'm waiting for the Stern fix to see what they come up with.

This will be my route. Stern's fix is based on what people received out of the box. I don't want anything I do to the pf to negatively interact with what they issue. If I'm not satisfied, then I will move the diverter. I hope Steve and Stern come through on this.

Moving the diverter in looked like it moved the pivot point very close to the right ball guide, which was my concern for the right orbit shot. But nobody has said anything negative regarding right orbit shots, as far as this is concerned, so I will assume nothing negative came of this. I don't yet have my machine, so I'm just going off pics and opinions.
