Quoted from balselly:

So, just catching myself up on this topic. I see that adjusting the diverter arm in slightly also aids the orbit shot. I am assuming nobody has noticed this negatively effecting their right orbit shots?
Also wondering, since Steve Ritchie has announced that a fix is on the way, if anybody just receiving their games, or about to receive their games, should leave their diverter arm alone until Stern's fix is issued?

Yes adjusting the arm by moving the whole bracket towards the player helps a lot. I am not using a divertor sheild fix. I made 24 of 25 during my test. Just had to remove the bracket and slot out the hole a bit, no need to remove upper playfield.

Or you could just remove your diverter and slot the mounting holes out so you are able to move the diverter forward 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch, and then play the game with working orbits and forget about a fix. It is what I did and I don't ever care if Stern fix's it as mine is already fixed.

I think what they are trying to tell you is with this orbit mode turned on, by design of the rules the left orbit will go to the pop on purpose and the left orbits will count as a shot. Not that by design of the game it goes to the pops, but it sure feels that way.

It is really a 5 minute fix moving the bracket. It's a part you never see, you can not mess it up unless your a complete idiot.

And if you do mess it up tell Stern to send you a new one cause you wanted to fix your machine.
