I don't believe it is designed to require a dead on shot from the right flipper but a shot from the left flipper to the right edge I would not expect to register for that shot. I do like the fix/modification idea. From the GOT's I've played it does seem as though that shot is inconsistent as some games are pretty easy to register and others will take a dead on power shot and still not register. Good idea for how to improve on those that may not work as well as they should.

Wow, this thread turned fast.

Guess we should add a 3rd contender to this possible fix. Don't recall whom did the mod but someone just put some drop dead foam on the target that the ram hits and put a new decal over the foam. Looked like it worked good too.

Several ways to resolve this issue apparently.

Quoted from ardarvin:

About 1 in 3 *solid* *dead center* *from right flipper* hits on my pro machine don't register. I've played other machines and they work fine. Since I don't feel like taking anything apart right now, I offer you this "fix." Basically I'm holding out on the Mezel Mod dragon battering ram (looks killer) before taking things apart. Surprisingly this fix works great, not every shot registers...just about the number you'd expect a well playing machine to do.

Have you looked at the mech? On the pro, it's literally 2 screws that hold it on after you remove the top plastic.

Take the 5 mins and remove it from your game. Make sure that the slide is clean and that the wheels are not stuck (seems to be a common problem). Put it back in and enjoy a properly working ram. You may need to adjust the switch sensitivity too
