So the answer to the title of the thread, no, not possible to have a positive thread. Mob mentality has spoken.

Several computer generated images of a game not even assembled where no one has seen the DoTs, heard the music/sounds or seen how it flows at all have decided it all for many it seems.

Quoted from XXVII:

Surely there's a prototype machine or two at this point. If they're shipping mid this month, then they would have had to figure out all the tooling, run some stress testing on mechanics, check that the playfield print alignment registers correctly with the cut wood, thrones and dragons already molded, etc.

I am sure they have flipping whitewoods with mechs and stuff on it. A fully assembled machine with all art, plastics, etc. good for photo ops? Possibly not.

Quoted from Aurich:

Relax, we've been through this before. Steve Ritchie and Dwight Sullivan are a great team. I'm as disappointed in the art as anyone, it's a hell of a missed opportunity. But there could still be a really fun game under it all.

I'm actually quite relaxed. I'll make my decision on what I feel about the game once I see the other elements.

As for the art, I personally think the LE artwork will look much better full size, physically printed and on a machine. Lighting, resolution, reflection can all change an image. I don't really like the characters presented, I am a "North" fan, so Premium will be more likely for me. You're an artist yourself, so your perspective is definitely different than mine. My artistic ability is limited to slightly creative stick figures.

Quoted from nate1981s:

No, What stern needs is a Gordon Ramsay to put them in their place. Outdated issues, listen to customers, etc.. All praise for Stern is senseless. Only negative comments should be paid attention to just like in a restaurant.

Negativity on its own is useless. Criticism is fine and should be part of the process. Criticism doesn't have to be negative. People tend to go hypercritical, obsessing about ever small mistake or thing they don't like on a minute level, even going so far as to insult the people behind the work. All of the negativity starts to feed on itself and goes off the rails. That is what is senseless.
