One of the nicest guys I’ve met yet in the hobby. True pleasure.

You need to include a picture of the filled trailer! We want to vicariously live through that purchase!! At least I do lol

I wouldn't say he was 'in the hobby'. More like he designed things the hobby consists of, definitely a higher level. Very cool that you got to meet him and purchase some of his games!!

He was in the hobby. He showed me pictures of when his basement was completely FULL of mostly pins with a couple arcades.

some great memorabilia but what game or games did you pick up? someone needs to repo those shirts. I would be in on those!!

    #8 4 years ago

Awesome! That was a great deal and if I lived in the area I'd have been all over it.

Loved the thread and how everybody jumped on him at first (I did too. In jest. I Keed! I keed!)

How did the games turn out? Especially the old school HUO stuff like Black Knight.

Larry is a great guy. I bought something from him about 15 years ago.

Really exciting meeting him. Super nice guy. I kept the Blaster, Stargate, Black Knight and STNG.

I've never seen so little Neutral Zone wear. Nice.

I noticed in your STTNG for sale ad that there are no serial number stickers anywhere on the game to be seen, on boards or cabinet. Was this a machine that Larry had specially built for himself?

    #20 3 years ago

Oh, Larry Demar's personal Black Knight?

I really would like to know which ROM version that one has. Still on the hunt for L1 and L2.

I heard those Duromold cabinets like Blaster were problematic because they'd roll around in the truck if you didn't strap them in.

    #22 3 years ago

Extremely nice of him to give you the memorabilia. Keep that stuff !

There's urban legends that the monitor would get too hot and melt the shelf it was resting on

    #24 3 years ago

The entire thing was made of plastic?! LOL

seems like a bad idea. Lots of cigs, lighters, and mischevious kids at arcades back then.

    #25 3 years ago

I saw the STNG is up for sale now.

Alledgedly ejecting out of the game is what I read once. Not too sure on the statement...
