Has anyone cracked the riddle yet on what protectant to apply to Gabby Gabby's face in the new TS4? It seems that all the bashing hits transfer dirt to her face from the ball. I was thinking to use the acrylic wax that is use on cars. It protects, yet maintains the integrity of the paint & texture. Any opinions?

Oh, I do. I have the pump primed and ready.

But in all seriousness, get a good flipper rubber cleaner and clean monthly. Not much can help with the ball grime. Just be thankful there isn’t a spinning disc.

Wax between cleanings may make it easier to keep up. One of those automobile clear coats that stays soft or flexible ?

Grab extra heads now, for later.

Never tried the self healing ceramics on a pinball. They work great on cars though.

And hope it doesn't get pounded in. Or come in contact with oils or some cleaners. I have a thing hand from TAFG that looks like a different nationality.

Just don’t let Gabby look like this. After 1 month on location.

I don’t know how many games where played, but this is at the one month mark.

Did The Hobbit have a similar issue?

No. Harder and darker colors.

Every time I've seen the machine on location, Gaby Gaby looks like she's going to a college party with Duke Kaboom's Prime Minister.

LTG where can I buy extra heads?

I’m kind of surprised this wasn’t something JJP anticipated and designed for, but obviously they did not. Who wants a Gabby with soot all over her face? I could care less about TS4 but it looks bad and I can see why owners would be annoyed. Hopefully, it cleans up okay.

#16 1 year ago

Agree it’s kind of annoying, but she cleans up easily with rubbing alcohol. Not sure what to use for protectant, maybe nothing, just needs more frequent cleaning.

Just clean it with a microfibre cloth. And Novus 1 or something. I believe you are over thinking this one.

It isn't limited to Gabby on the two machines I've seen on location. All of the white rubber was pretty black as well. I attributed it to just being over played at a freeplay (entrance fee) location due to also having an error screen. But there must be something in the game that causes a lot of debris quickly, as the second location looked very similar.
