IMHO, it is time. I often turn down the volume of my rock pins and blast The Ramones for what I feel is a superior experience.

Saw them play at a college kegger in Grinnell Iowa back in 78 or 79. I wasn't supoosed to get in (show was for the college students only) so I had to stand outside and keep asking girls to get me in as their little brother until someone finally said yes.
Crazy days
Quoted from CrazyLevi:People whining about how "unpunk" $9,000 pinball machines are.
It's so unpunk! That's what makes it so punk.
Ramones, to me, just IS pinball playing music. This, plus all the great hand drawn art over the years is a perfect storm for a great pin.
Machine needs to be fast and loud, just like it's namesake.
Gimme gimme gimme shock, er, pinball treatment!
One of my all time favorite quotes comes from Joey Ramone when a journalist asked why their songs were so short. He answered, "They're not short, we just play them faster."
Funny, but 100% true.
The ball is wild and so are the Ramones; two burrs on a mule's tail.
Quoted from Dayhuff:Just found this list in my desk drawer of my top ten favorite Ramones songs. This is from like ten years ago and I think it would still be the same today, so I'd love to see these incorporated into the game play.
#1 Pinhead
#2 Mama's Boy
#3 Born to die in Berlin
#4 Somebody put something in my drink.
#5 Havana affair
#6 Blitzkrieg bop
#7 Psycho therapy
#8 Beat on the brat
#9 Today you love, tomorrow the world.
#10 I don't wanna go down to the basement.
Thoughts?
John
Great list.
I'd add:
Too tough to die
It's a long way back
I believe in miracles
All's quiet on the eastern front
Cretin hop
Yes! This would be a perfect retheme! Love the way The Beatles pin plays and may end up getting one eventually, but The Ramones handling the tunes would put it right over the top.
Quoted from rosh:So make one!
It's a conflict of interests. Becoming a pinball machine manufacturer would ruin my relationship with all the other pinball machine manufacturing companies. I know my place (and it's a good one) and I know where I fit in the bigger picture.
Besides, it all sounds WAY too hard.
Another company needs to build this game so I can give them my money.
Terry
Quoted from RCA1:Too late! He already did.

Scoregasm was a fun *bucket list* project.
Love it or hate it,, I'm very proud of what the Day One Pinball team made. IMHO, it's a modern, unique take on a completely outdated idea. I knew from, uh, day one that it was not a profitable idea. That was never the point. We did it for the experience of simply doing it. Oh, and it was also a good reason to get together a couple times a week to hang out and have few beers and do about 45 minutes of work over a 4 hour period.
Somehow, some way, we gotta get this off of the ground. Tried to talk Scott into a one-off machine just for fun, but apparently it didn't seem very *fun* to him.
My favorite review of the Dee Dee King album -
"sounds less like a rap record and more like a Ramones album that has rapping on it"
I own Standing In The Spotlight on LP. Love it in a way that is not describable. Weird, surprising, bad, great, and a bunch more things.
I interviewed Dee Dee Ramone back in the early 90's when I free-lanced for a fanzine I no longer remember the name of and Dee Dee fronted a band I think I remember the name of; Chinese Rocks. He was still an excitable boy, but uh, he also seemed rather not smart. Let's just say I wanted the interview to end more than he did. No matter, he's still my hero even though I met said hero and it wasn't very impressive.
Now THAT'S punk. RIP Dee Dee, and all the other original Ramones, for that matter. Shit, all four of them are dead.
