    Quoted from bmunn1:

No, I think there are specific reasons that do not point to a demand collapse.
90's Top ten pins market is soft due to potential remake

Bingo. The problem is no one knows which will be remade for certain, so all are impacted. But guess what, if they aren't remade at this point it will be due to the market going sour so either way the future is not good for the value of these titles.

    Quoted from bmunn1:

Stern has earned a reputation for not complete code. People are playing a wait and see approach to there products (premium model undercuts LE). Boutique makers offer more for same price as Stern LE.

Bango. This kept me from Metallica NIB purchase even though I applauded the hand drawn artwork. To be honest it was also that I fell in love with the LE artwork and I wasn't willing to pay that insane price so that was a secondary reason to refrain. Now, even after the code has been made great, I have a friend that has Met Pro so I am content to play his in perpetuity.

    Quoted from bmunn1:

It's a buyers market. Lots of choices. Overall a great situation for the hobby.

Bongo, and Wrong-o. Yes it is a buyers market but really it's new buyers with plenty of room and fresh cash, until the falling prices cause manufacturers to go out of business. So that's why it is NOT a great situation for the hobby long-term.

Ironically I find my opinion being lumped in with the flippers in the hobby and yet my motivation is wanting to ensure there are new, well-designed games to expand the world of pinball. It is born partially out of the fact that I own many of the games on my grail list so yes I am biased, but I wish others understood why cannibalizing the intrinsic collectible value is not good for the hobby as a whole.

My preference would be that Medieval Madness value was diminished by truly remarkable new games coming to market like The Big Lebowski, Wizard of Oz, The Hobbit (I hope), and maybe America's Most Haunted, rather than by someone deciding to take money out of the secondary market pool by doing remakes & vault editions.

Thanks for listening (reading), I feel better now
